Seen from a couple sources that he plans to be back, finally some good news on the injury front considering everything that has happened the past few weeks with so many guys dropping like flies. On a side note, would you rather see McDougald or Blair paired with Diggs?

Mcdougald, and it's not even close.
Diggs at FS and Mac at SS was our best combo this year.

This...
Diggs is a game changer. I will venture to say if we win this weekend and Diggs is healthy for SF we win. As long as everyone else remains healthy of course...

Absolutely. They were talking about the turnovers with Diggs in the game vs. without him playing. It's night and day. You could argue that he has had as much impact as anyone on the D this year, and in a short amount of time.

Pete's preferred D is single high safety, 3 deep zone with LBs running underneath zones. This allows the SS to drop down into the box for run support and TE coverage. The problem is that you need a premier FS to play that, which is why we were so successful with ET back there. His speed sideline to sideline allowed them to do that With a less talented, slower FS, they are forced into a more traditional 2 deep scheme.

Diggs isn't quite ET, but he's close enough to allow us to play our preferred style. Diggs can definitely get numbers to numbers coverage if not sidelines. A bad ankle would be a problem, so if he's less than 100% he may not be able to pull it off.

Here's hoping.

Signing Diggs was a huge step toward covering up weaknesses in our secondary. Hoping he sticks. He and McDougald are are a great duo.

We traded for Diggs, not signed him. He is not going anywhere.

IIRC he's on the 1st year of a 2 year deal. Right?
