I think that injuries on the defensive line caught up with us, so the number of snaps that our regulars had to play this season resulted in less production. Bennett's hasn't been the same player since the foot injury, but I don't see why he can't be back after an off season of healing. The loss of Wagner was HUGE, and it was amplified by the fact that KJ was out too. I wouldn't be surprised if Wagner doesn't play again this year. As a result, key run fits that we typically make were chronically missed and we were uncharacteristically gauged for big demoralizing runs. I believe that with an off season for the offensive line to gel, a healthy Carson and some replacement parts on defense, we still can make some noise next year. Overall, it's sad to see us out of the playoffs for the first time in a long time, but I think we shouldn't lose our optimism for the future.
