Soooooo im no football coach. Just a die hard fan who was LOVING what I saw the past 5 weeks from the passing game. Rhythm, RW would hit his 3rd step on the drop and the ball was out.

But yesterday that was nowhere to be found. Which is totally against regular convention, since their D line is their strength vs our weakness. Why did we abandon the quick passing game. Get the ball out of RWs hands fast. It seemed every route was a long developing "deep shot" and Wilson got killed because of it.

We tried, but dominant front 7's like the Rams and Cardinals do a great job of creating havok on the line and press covering. So all those quick routes aren't there, and there's no time to develop plays downfield............which backs those DB's off.

The way to beat that is by gashing teams with the run, and that obviously didn't happen.

Give the Rams credit, they have our number on the defensive side of the ball. Can't quick pass when Russell has defenders in his lap in .5 seconds 80% of the time.

This is where we miss TE Jimmy here. If you have a built quick jump ball kind of player, you can almost always win the battle of quick slants. When defenses are over aggressive, you need to make Russel have some designed scrambles, some boot leg and all of that stuff that I did not see yesterday. We were in a rhythm with the OL holding up for the last 5 games. Yesterday the Rams changed it all up and confused our OL's, they didn't know who were coming from when. Marshawn/Jimmy and physical players would have made the difference.
