This is all mental and it will be hard to fix with player or coach changes. They are having a "groundhog day" phenomenon, i.e. they are living the horrible last minute super bowl loss over and over again.

There really is not anything else that can explain how a team is continuously dominant for three quarters but then melts away on the fourth on both sides of the ball. The previously functioning Offense suddenly gets just three and outs, the smothering Defense can't suddenly stop any drive. Wilson used to find a way to make the game winning drive nearly always, now he has had changes in every single game but has not produced one. The only two of his overtime losses ever have happened this season.. Mental or physical?

They need to somehow get their heads straight and gain back their confidence, cause man they used to be confident! Now they are like a nervous wreck. Its not like they dont know how to play.

The positives are that this team has the tools to make it work again. It's not like the team is dissolving like the Niners. They just need to find a way around this mind knot and it will work again.

The problem is, can they make it work before thursday? Because being 2-5 will almost certainly mean missing the playoffs. But oh well, there has been some great seasons in the last few years, having an in-between is not so bad because there will be a time when this team is ready to bounce back. I have no doubts about that.
