My 18 year old nephew gave me his xbox when it stopped connecting to Xbox Live and got himself the new COD console (ahh to be young and no bills to pay). I run the connectivity test and it says its connected to the internet, but it won't log in to Live. When I click "status" I get the following error code:
W: 0000-000b
X: 0000-f001
Y: 20a8-48e0
Z: 0000-0000
ID: FFFF-FFFF
I did some searching and couldnt find this exact code. Any ideas?

Hmm, I wonder if he got banned or something. I just set up an account and got on no problem. Strangely he was able to log right in with the new console. Anyway, I'll leave this here in case anyone else has the same question

Typically, a console gets banned, rarely an account.

It would seem that you decided to log in at a bad time. The Live servers were down from the looks of it.. chalk it up to bad timing.
