We need a DT, Chris Jones is about as good as it gets. in 2022, he was #1 in sacks with 15, #1 in forced fumbles at 2 and an elite 92 overall on PFF.

Chiefs need a boost in their WR corp., currently they are ranked #11 per PFF. Hawks? PFF ranked us #4.

11. KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
I'll get some pushback for having the Chiefs this high, but I’m fine with that. Over the last three seasons, only one player has earned a higher receiving grade than Travis Kelce’s 93.7, and that player is Davante Adams.

The Chiefs' receiver room beyond Kelce might look unproven, but a healthy Kadarius Toney is a game-changing player, Skyy Moore is poised to take the next step forward and Marquez Valdes-Scantling can be a solid deep threat. Throw in what Jerick McKinnon can give you out of the backfield, and I’m betting on that group.

If we can make the $$ part work, why not entertain Lockett plus pick for Jones? Or Lockett + Mike Jackson for Jones, their secondary is ranked #14, surely could use some help? Our offense might take a step back, but our defense will JUMP with Chris Jones.

According to overthecap.com, APY for Jones is $20mil, Lockett is $17mil.

There is only one player that I want Seattle to deal for. That would be Grady Jarrett. He would fit exactly with what the team is trying to do on defense. He would probably come much cheaper than Jones and I wouldn't sacrifice Lockette in the process either. Make the deal with draft picks and toss in one of the corners like Artie Burns, otherwise, let Schnieder build the team through the draft.

29 Million in dead cap if we trade Lockett. We currently have 13mill in open cap on Overthecap. Chris Jones wants to get paid also.

Not seeing Tyler as "expendable" for "trade bait".
This.

I have been vocal about some of my issues with Tyler. I don't see this as any sort of answer. Beefing up both the offense and defense this year is crucial. Separate from my hatred in general for the 'hit the deck' theory of receiving footballs - I want to see how the trio do this year.

If Tyler is to move on - I don't want it to be this year.

Put Jamal Adams out there and Im in; realistically his career is fading. i think KC will retain JONES.

This is another in the speculative series of potential fanciful trades.

The Hawks are very unlikely to trade away Lockett and KC is very unlikely to trade away their best DLineman.

I'd say NO!

I just don't think it would make sense from how much I believe it would set the offense back , team and player dynamics and faith in the F O in regards to players feeling like something is being built they're a part of no matter how it would impact the D
He's just too valuable in so many ways to let go of

If anyone wants to see Geno Smith hit new lows in suckage, here's your opportunity. Just trade Tyler Lockett and watch the results.

So far speculation is KC would want the equivalent of two 1st rd picks for Jones and He is asking for Aaron Donald money @ $30 million a year. IMO it’s too rich for my blood for a 29 yr old player

Tyler is in the waning part of his career and has suffered serious injury as well...I suspect both of these to be why he isn't "squeezing" for every yard after a catch. Early in his career he was quite daring in spite of a slender build...as a WR as well as a Pro Bowler return specialist. I bear him no grudge since I never suffered a major injury myself...I see JSN as "under Tyler's wings" with Dareke/Dee having WR3 "next man up" potential.

We already spent our "serious" money landing the "other" Jones ...Dre'Mont should make rewarding impact as it is.

Well, sir - that is officially one of the most intelligent things that I've heard on the topic, myself often included.

I give SA a pass at the end of his career for hitting the deck when the O-Line broke down - but I haven't given the same pass to Tyler. I'll think about that.
