He's a failed sixth round pick.

Had poor leverage, footwork and hand fighting in college. It hasn't transitioned here either.

Coach him up another year while he's on a cheap rookie deal then cut bait. Pray Cross and Lucas stay healthy.

He's a successful 6th round pick. Most don't make a roster and get stuck on the practice squad. If you can get a backup from the 6th round, that's a win. And that was probably always his ceiling: Backup tackle.

He may technically be the #2 LT but even if he makes the final 53 I doubt they would put him there if something happened to Cross.

Wrong. If he's a liability when he steps on the field, not protecting the QBs blind spot, then that's a failure no matter how you want to spin it.

That's like saying Cary Williams was a success for putting on his uniform properly.

Your right. (y) John Schneider traded back into the draft to get him. Forsythe did alright toward the end of the 2022 season at right tackle

The OP quoted tweet of observation was posted at 7:58 pm while the game was in progress. It was not, a post game player evaluation. Lineman look better after accumulating some game reps, after post game coaching and tend to thrive playing next to incumbent starters .... ect. More often than not, it takes a few weeks to sort out an offensive line.

So many forum posts are myopic. Can't see beyond a reactive emotion. Can't help but singled out someone to belittle. If not Forsythe, someone else would have been targeted. We'll see whose turn it is next week.

My 90 year half blind nan with a limp could get off the ball faster than he could.

With that said...not really any better options on the depth chart right now. Backup tackle at the best.

I'd rather see Curhan at backup LT than Forsythe. Curhan has speed issues, too... but he seems to have a bit more of the overall smarts for the OL. Dickerson is smart and has his work cut out for him as the coach.
