Amazing what getting rid of dead weight does for a team offense wise.

SS won't win me over until they get past the divisional round. Seems like Jerry and Scott listen to fan criticism though and that's a good thing.

So getting past the divisional round is entirely on Servais? Not Dipoto and the rest of the front office, and not the players? Don't all of those people bear some responsibility for the results too?

There's a pretty big difference between not being sold on a guy, and constantly insinuating (or outright stating) that he's a clueless idiot that has no idea what he's doing.

Munoz trying to give the game away. We got a huge break that it was a ground rule double. One more out, let’s go!

A white knuckle 9th inning, but Munoz comes through.

5 straight losses for the Angels after their two big trades.

4 straight wins for the Ms, 2 games behind the last WC spot in the loss column.

Outside of Munoz getting a little shaky there in the 9th, some pretty stellar pitching and defense (particularly JP) from the M's tonight.

It's baseball, sometimes you gotta find a way to win a low scoring game.

At the moment, it looks like we just have to play better than the Blue Jays.

Mariners are 7-1-1 in their last 9 series before this one and have now secured at least a split in this one.

But Servais is a clueless bumbling moron that isn't trying to win games. :ROFLMAO:

Correction. M's are now 8-1-1 in their last 10 series and are tied with the O's for the best record in baseball since the start of July.

Hmm, I can't help but wonder. If Servais is solely to blame when they lose, does that mean he's solely responsible when they win? ;)

I like our chances. We're very even with the Blue Jays. A little better in the pitching department, just a little worse in hitting. We've actually outscored the Blue Jays this year by 5 runs, even though we have 125 fewer hits.

And Bo Bichette is hurt. If he's on a the IR for an extended time, the Jays will be hurting.

Don't care what anybody says, helluva game. Starting to feel a bit like second half of last year . Finding ways to win close games again. Munoz is young, and new to the closer spot on a more full time basis. Good job by Murph to kind of escort him through that inning. He should be a lot more comfortable with the job by playoff time.

JP showing why the team had faith in him through those times when people were screaming to sign one of those $200 million guys. ;)

JP is probably the most under the radar and under appreciated player on our team. He's been the most consistent, and quite frankly, one of our best players all season, but I rarely see or hear his name mentioned.

Spidey sense is telling me Ohtani would like to play with our pitching staff.

I'd love to see it, but I don't think there's a chance in hell this organization would pay what it's going to take to sign him. Barring a catastrophic injury in the next 2 months, he's going to get the biggest contract in baseball history next off season.

We are super fortunate that the ball bounced over the fence. Luck is starting to go our way.

The team is playing so much better now that guys who are suppose to hit are hitting. Julio, Cal and Geno are all very hot. Also helps we don't have Wong or Pollock in the lineup anymore.
