The season starts in LA on the 8th

So that Sunday is the 11th. Due to last season, trading the QB away it is unlikely we have the SNF or MNF game so day game for first weekend.

However, Mariners has a home game on the 11th. Looking at past schedules that means we start on the road.

First home game on the 18th, Mariners on the road.

Opponents this year.

Home: Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, Falcons, Panthers, Broncos, Raiders, Giants, Jets

Away: Cardinals, Rams, 49ers, Saints, Buccaneers, Chiefs, Chargers, Lions

Go Hawks

For the season opener, I'm thinking either the Chargers or Lions.
For home opener, the Falcons.
The game against the Broncos will be a national tv game - TNF, SNF, or MNF.

Even if we had a better roster (we don’t ofc), McVay has Pete’s number.

That’s an L.

I only see 5 wins here….

You never want to lose but, I’ll just say I’m looking forward to the draft lottery next year.

I guess I wasn't trying to predict who we play our outcome.

More that I am predicting when the first game will be.

My thoughts on their system, how the season will go, what led to RW wanting out is all irrelevant at this point. We have a season to watch. Excited to see it and hope I am wrong in what I think it will bring

all you can do is watch and enjoy the season.

I'll go with the Panthers. So many times a random, non-divisional matchup happens for the home opener.
IF the NFL was gonna' think about ratings, they would make the Hawks/Bronco's game be the home opener. For obvious reasons (haven't looked at the Rockies schedule)

Ok, I'll start it again. Let's hear the predictions on who the Hawks are going to play in their opener. For reference, the Mariners are ON THE ROAD on September 8th and have a day off on September 9th. Not who you WANT them to play, just a prediction on who and where it happens.

I'm gonna go with:

Sunday, September 8th. Hawks hosting Miami. Wouldn't be the first time with an out of conference opening game.

My boring pick is the Cards.

An interesting game would be the dolphins.

NFL likes drama week 1, which we normally have in spades. But this year not so much. Maybe the Gmen against L Williams, which is a yawner compared to more recent opportunities.

If we play the AFC West and the NFC Central I would think Vikings NFC and Raider AFC depending on what is thrown at us.
