Mafe is good in pass D, half ass on runs.

Taylor has disappeared.

Hall never showed up.

Relying on Adams to fill the gap failed.

Nwosu is out.

And the coaching sucks.

Theres no philosophy to fix it.

This roster can compete better on defense. The problem is the Hawks play too passively when they could do some creative things. Evero or Flores would really take this defense to new heights.

I do not think it is a lack of talent. There are not many teams in the NFC that have that much talent stacked on defense like the Hawks. Losing Nwosu hurt really bad but the Hawks can still compete with the edge players they have.

Id beg to disagree. Watching game tape, Mafe, Taylor and Hall are basically bodies on the field to be run over, and around when the ball comes their way. Its been constant all year. They rarely make runstops and can be seen on the reg barely doing more than sticking their arms in to tackle ... like the first, long Conner run tonight.

The Steelers are Pete dream team, the running style 1, 2 punch mouth RB combo and the “we’ll out physical” you defense. Seattles current team would get dick kicked by a Jim Mora Seahawks teams

Yeah, I agree with this. These players are no better than traffic cones in run defense.

Hall is a rookie but he was known for playing the run in the draft.
Taylor no disagreement there as he is purely a situational pass rusher.
Mafe has done good things against run defense this season and some bad but he is making progress.

Lots of inexperience at edge but really I can't put it all on the edge players as you need ILBs to flow to the ball and clean up along with safeties. Watching B. Baker and Winfield fly around making plays make it crystal clear the Hawks are hurt by not having a safety ball hawk like those two players.
