Does Denver have any chance whatsoever to cut bait and absorb the losses in value for a season? Are there any teams out ther with a QB minded coach that would actually want him? Or is it going to be cringy all year? ha

They can cut him😆.. or maybe a conditional pick trade.. He looks horrible and I really doubt anyone wants to touch what is going on right now.

Maybe a desperate GM with no first rounder who is worried about his job and was drinking bloody Mary's the morning of the draft might toss a 2nd rounder & a day 3 pick or two into the kitty for Russ. Puts new light on the saying, "Ever do anything Dangerous?"
No, the Denver Bronco's are stuck with RW until around 2026, they'll be eating that same sandwich for a while...

Yup, they are handcuffed. At earliest, it looks like a post June 1st cut, when the cap hit is under $49 million for 2025. If they got rid of him at the end of this season the hit would $107 million. Yikes!

Donkeys are not going to be able to move him for cap hit until at the earliest 2026. And thanks to our trade, they are not getting cream of the crop and or plenty pickings either.

No.

They are going to adapt and work with what they have. Limited resources in terms of cap space and draft picks so they must be very cautious and smart moving forward with team building plans the next few years.

I’m puzzling over what the redemption arc to Russ will look like given that Carolina and Jets are the only games I’d bet them on.

They could trade him, in theory, and attempt to spread the dead cap hit out. But they'd need Russ to sign off on a restructure that backloads his guarantees, have a team lined up that wants to trade for him, and convince him to waive his no-trade clause for that team. Here's the problem. No team will make that trade with the way Russ is currently playing, and the Broncos probably won't get much of anything in return.

The Broncos are in a unique situation where they may end up with the worst trade and contract in NFL history.

I saw a great quote this morning somewhere in my wanderings through the net;
"Russell Wilson getting to play under Nathaniel Hackett has done more for Pete Carroll’s coaching legacy than the Legion of Boom."
The entire nation realizing they owe the man an apology for the relentless slander is priceless

It literally couldn't have gone any better

But, of course, he’d never agree to this because it would be so unprecedented, it’d destroy his legacy forever.

He’s also in a unique situation in that he may be playing himself out of HOF consideration. If he had the same season with Seattle, nobody would pay it any mind. They’d just instinctively blame Carroll and/or Waldron.

I wonder what would happen if they benched him? Since they're already paying for a backup, might as well try - could Rypien be any worse? Maybe Wilson needs to sit for a bit and collect himself.

You nailed it on both counts, if Russ keep playing at or slightly above his current level, he is playing himself out of HOF consideration. And you couldn't be more right about Pete and OC will take the blame for Russ' performance if he is still with the Hawks.
