I couldn't believe all the people giving the O-Line a pass last night shifting the blame to Russ. This line needs 6 O-lineman to even be below average in pass blocking. it requires seven to even have a chance and that puts two in the pattern. Good luck with that. With 4 rushers Russ still needed a hot read because he was surrounded immediately with the rushers right in his grill. There is not a single player on that line I would invest a second contract on.

They sucked no doubt but the Rams have one of the best pass rushes in the league and always give us a hard time.

You have to run the ball against them. Alot

the addition of clay matthews helps them as he faced us multiple times in GB

They're pass blocking was awful for sure. We also miss a legit TE who can at least keep the defense honest. A guy that can block, decoy, chip and still be a threat to catch a ball. Someone the defense has to account for each game. Swoops and Fant offer no fear, and probably hurt the team more when they're in to pass block.

in addition we were running long developing plays with no safety valve. Carroll's offense strikes again.

The real pass protection challenge for any O line is can you protect in obvious passing situations? Even harder, can you protect in obvious passing situations against a good pass rush? This has been an issue for quite a while with this group (not just this year). We are effective when we keep the D off balance - true of any O line group. And yes, Russ runs into some sacks. But our inability to give him a fighting chance to keep his eyes downfield on predictable passing downs is a killer at times for this team.

Well it should be obvious by now that we suck in that department, so maybe game plan for that, no?! Like quicker passing game and not missing open receivers all game. But our game plan and Wilson's play never adapts to our crappy online play.
