69 years is a long drought to break.

This is pretty awesome. Canadian golf fans haven't had much to celebrate since Mike Weir won The Masters 20 years ago.

And he did it in a fourth sudden-death playoff hole with a 72-foot putt.

Now the spotlight is back on those cursed Toronto Maple Leafs.

It was awesome indeed!! I live in Coeur d’Alene Idaho but I am originally from Vancouver, B.C.
I volunteered and worked in junior golf in BC for 11 years. Nick Taylor, and Adam Hadwin, played out of Ledgeview golf course in Abbotsford. I worked many an event these kids played in. Also Adam Svensson from Surrey, BC.
it has been cool to see these kids grow into PGA tour winners.

Did you see Hadwin get tackled by security while he was spraying champagne on the winner?

Hadwin's wife gave golf fans an update of the incident:

"I'm thrilled to report that @ahadwingolf is still among the land of the living and in true Canadian form, apologized to the security guard for being tackled."

.... "sorry"
