Continuing the nostalgic spirit going around this week, I wanted to share this oldie but goodie. I watched this video on my pop's VCR about 1000x. Was my absolute favorite NFL film for probably 7 or so years. Loved that our coach had an appearance in it and the Hawks were on the cover.

And the piece on Sweetness was on par with Rocky 1 for me as a kid in terms of a hype reel.

Wow, I need to take some time out to watch that whole thing. I love how all the interview snippets up front celebrate the physicality. Look at how this quote has aged (Forrest Gregg at 1:26): "It's still a physical game. Let's face that fact. And it always will be. That's what makes people want to play this game. Because it is a physical game. It's not touch-tag."

Look, I get it. I get why it's changed. But man, this era of football when I was growing up was 'must see' in a way that the current era of video game football no longer is.
