I don't know many college football players.

I do know about this guy in college. He was famous for being a colossal wreck of douche then, because I heard about it. Somehow many people thought that he would be good (and there are probably those that will still persist), in a league where you have to work really hard to survive in his position. He demonstrated early and often that he wouldn't put in the work to succeed; how could anyone be confident this was going to work out?

Vick is the only guy I've seen half-ass his job and still have reasonable success at that position. We've seen this spectrum of idiots from Ryan Leaf to Jeff George. Successful QBs make it in the NFL because of talent and hard work.

Believe it or not, I think comparing Manziel to Leaf is actually unfare to Leaf. Manziel is a whole new level of destructive.
