Hart promoted to 53 man, Ursua signed to PS

If cut, I'd think there's a decent chance Ursua might not clear waivers. SF might be interested, for one.

I was always rooting for Ursua to show enough to stick, but this is not really a surprising development.

Lets hope Hart can carve out a niche. He looks very twitchy; had some nice college performances and has some return experience that could raise his value.

Hart is a kick returner and with Ursua being on the limp he's the next man up.

Ursua has been a bit overrated by some here and given lots of chances but has not made much of them.

We'll tell how much the team wants to keep him around if he comes back to the PS.

Hart went undrafted out of Georgia State in 2019, then signed with Indianapolis as a free agent. He began last season on injured reserve, then was later waived with an injury settlement before eventually landing on Seattle's practice squad.

Hart had a prolific career at Georgia State, catching 203 passes for 2,960 yards and 19 touchdowns, twice earning first-team All-Sun Belt honors

Ursua probably lands with another team in the NFC west .

IMO, Hart was added mainly due to his punt and kick return value. This probably means that Lockett will be taken off those duties and hopefully David Moore too. I'm very unimpressed by Moore's return ability...he seems so slow.

Well Hart is REALLY slow. He did ok with returns against directional schools at Georgia Southern, but NFL nobody is slow.

Hopefully he isn't as slow as his times.

I'm wondering if the new practice squad rules, with more players and room for vets, makes it less likely that guys get poached or picked up off waivers.

Anyway, I'm kind of glad Ursua is still in play for us.

As has been said elsewhere, being waived means less than ever in this year's NFL, and it already meant relatively little in Seattle. Hart might just be considered a better match for our first two opponents. We might well see Ursua a great deal still.
