Possibly, and that's a major problem. There is never an excuse for a defense to play horribly. They need to be ready when called upon, which can be at any point in the game. They can't allow themselves to be demoralized.

I think a baller (or two) will make the defense much better. Free agency or draft...don't care. Rome wasn't built in a day, neither is a solid defense.
