Carson Palmer was 6-0 and had the 9th highest QBR before tearing his ACL which nobody could have known was going to happen.
He was extended through the 2017 season with only 20 million guaranteed. The contract itself was a good deal. It is yet to see how it truly plays out.
Carson Palmer is 35, has had two major injuries (prior to this one) and lifetime QBR of around 86...
you think thats a sound investment at 20 million a year? I mean he has been a very good QB (at times), but again, he's 35 and not Peyton Manning or Tom Brady
part of having a strong FO is knowing when to cut bait on aging players. While he was successful this year, he had yet to play his own division (until his injury)
whats the cap hit on the Cardinals if they cut him?
