Now that we have a legitimate LT, will it work for the running game?

Houston has ran a ZBS for most, if not all of the time Brown has been there.

Brown grades out well in run and pass blocking. He's a stud and with Thomas out is probably the 3rd best LT in the game right now. He'll work.

And hopefully the team atmosphere gets to him and he likes it here and helps coach up our younger guys. We've really needed a quality established veteran for quite some time.

Brown starts his career with Alex Gibbs who implement the ZBS scheme in Houston... Gibbs became our OL coach and suddenly retired. Gibbs taught his system to Cable. IMO, Brown is the perfect fit for our OL.

Yes, like Procic, Brown has been in ZBS almost exclusively. This move may save both Lacy's and Rawls careers.

Brown used to block for Foster back when the latter was healthy and tearing up the league. I'm hopeful that adding him will help get this running game going.
