This guy is a highly athletic potential low risk reclamation project.

Can’t see the basis for grumbling, he could respond to Solari’s coaching and the mentorship of Brown or not. If he does that’s a huge score, if not, he’s not costing a lot, and could be a camp body.

Meanwhile he can attempt to replace the big TE/T role of Fant cheaper with a big potential upside.

Staff either did this deal just to give appearances they are doing SOMETHING, or else they saw something they thought they could work with. I trust their instincts. Just saying congrats to Cedric cause this is a bet I wouldn't have made. Money aside we only have a limited number of spots available. I'd like to see those filled with the highest level talent we could find. Maybe he'll blossom here like he never has before. If so that's great! I love those kind of stories.
