Can we talk TE now

At the beginning of the season the chatter was “damn, this team is loaded at tight end.”

This game, 2 catches for 13 yards. 5 targets. That just isn’t enough productivity. Last couple games show this team lacks a balance, and the threat TEs can provide. Are the players not good enough, is it the scheme/play call or the QB isn’t getting through reads? Thi is not a Geno slam. But this chit needs to get fixed.

It's the offensive coordinator. Also, even if we did get the TEs a good amount of targets, then our 1st round WR wouldn't get targeted that often. We have 3 good WRs and 3 good TEs....too many players needing the ball. Then we have two great RBs that don't get enough carries. Maybe too many resources used on offensive skill positions.

Yep the TEs were MIA again as per usual.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.

That should be a great position to be in.

I've never heard of an offense struggling because they had too many good WRs, TEs, and RBs

We've had TEs of promise, such as Jerramy Stevens and Jimmy Graham, but, Zach Miller remains the most productive and effectively utilized that we've ever had (over roughly three years).

Absolutely agree.

Ball needs to get distributed. This team is loaded, but doesn’t have a killer instinct. Feels like the offense just plugs and chugs.

Does anyone actually think we're loaded at TE? We have a talented/versatile group, but only Fant is a dynamic pass catcher. Maybe they'd get more targets if we didn't have so much talent at WR, but as it stands, there are only so many opportunities to go around.

Fant is a good downfield target, and Parkinson's height could maybe help in the endzone, when teams are doubling DK?

And with Lockett being somewhat hobbled, you would think the TEs would be more featured in this game.

I thought Dissly had a chance early in his career to he really special. Multiple season- ending injuries really derailed him.

Bingo.

Loaded might be a strong word, but three very good and capable players. Something is off.

That seems to be the case with the Seahawks or at least the offensive coordinator. Pete wants to be a running team and yet the Seahawks threw the ball 40 times and only ran it 20 times.

Charbs avg 3.1/ypc. Gotta get closer to 4 to say you are a running team.

Noah Fant has 10 yards in his last 3 games combined. Disgusting
