Came across this article today. It had some very interesting stats about how Cam has done against top defenses as well as Carolina having THEE easiest schedule this year. I also include the follow-on article giving the history and stats of teams with the easiest schedule and how ofter they have won in the playoff's. Very interesting stuff. I have never feared Carolina and think if we had played them (and a number of other team's) later in the season we probably would have had HFA throughout. But here we are, hope we show up and put it to them.

Makes sense to me. Teams with low SOS have inflated win/loss records. No brainier. Look at SB48. Hawks SOS #11 Broncos #32. I had a really strong feeling before that game that it might get out of hand. Not 43-8 out of hand. More like 3 TD's plus out of hand. Last year Hawks were at #6, Pats #10. Looked like a toss up and it basically was. This year, Hawks are #4 and Panthers are #27. It could get ugly but either way I feel confident it's a win.

I want to see someone pull Wilson's stats against the Panthers or any team with an elite defense and compare it with Cam's.

Looking at their divisions, RW faces elite defenses. Cam faces piss poor defenses.

Reading that article....it points out Newton would be the third MVP QB in a row the past 3 years we knock out if we beat the Panthers. Previous 2 were Rodgers and Manning.

I also love how it points out

"What Newton won't be facing this week is a pass defense ranked 26th or worse, which he did six times this year with these results:

123-of-196, 62.7%, 17 touchdowns, two interceptions, 8.05 Y/A, and a passer rating of 112.5."

but against the higher defenses

In Newton's three games against Seattle, Houston, and Green Bay, these were his passing numbers:

53-of-103, 51.4%, six touchdowns, four interceptions, 7.38 Y/A, and a passer rating of 78.9.
