Peter King comes off as an apologist here. "Trust issues" implies that at some point teams have actually transgressed against him. The fact that 2 teams have unloaded him in his prime is pretty solid evidence that Percy himself is the issue.

(this isn't directed toward you NJ you just posted King's reaction and thanks for that)

No worries bro! :thirishdrinkers:

DavidSeven's on to something, I like his direction. In fact, I don't believe we actually traded Percy Harvin. I mean, have the Seahawks or Percy confirmed it? No, this is all hearsay.

Yes. That is clearly the same thing as inventing orgy scenarios. Clearly.

I must have missed Adam Schefter's report on that. Would've been a doozy.

Yeah... that's the last I'm gonna talk about that.

Anyone else oddly excited to get Richardson and Norwood on the field? I don't feel as down about the move as I might have thought I'd be.

I find myself a bit excited also. I really really hope that they kept those 2 out of the mix because it was already One Life To Live out there as it was with Percy demanding the ball all the time. If we don't see those two my excitement will soon turn to being bummed out that we have such difficulty finding guys to contribute right away on offense lately. I guess Britt has been starting though, that's positive progress.

Any business minede people in here?

Let's look at it in those terms:

OK, "Dead money" is a SUNK COST, meaning we have already lost it there is no reason to worry about it we cant get it back.

If Percy was a problem he could exponentially cause more problems then he is worth and multiply the loss.

If he almost got into a fight with RW and punched Golden, no matter what the circumstances, I believe this was a good move.

Time to move forward..... No point in dwelling on it..... GO HAWKS

Fine, anyone is entitled to believe what they want.

All I know is Golden and Russell have both denied it. Doug denied it. Ashton's GF denied it. It's never been reported by a single legitimized news source. If we want to believe .NET posters have better info than all of them, OK. Not questioning anyone's credibility, but you guys are relaying hearsay from other people's hearsay.

I hate to keep bringing this up because I don't even disagree with you on the rumor. But stuff like this just isn't evidence of any value. What else are they going to say?

I see near universal acceptance that unloading Percy was a good move. Folks understand the concept of sunk costs.

It's okay to express shock and frustration that the initial move turned out so poorly on a Seahawk message board the day the news breaks.

IMO, we should've saw this coming a bit. PRich was a pick with roster-mirroring in mind (and yes, the Hawks do Roster mirror). I'm very, very excited to see him play. Well, that is if this rumor turns out to be true.

uhm.... you make this sound like it only happens in movies and porno.

Yes, orgy scenarios actually happen in the real world. It isn't only happening in Game of Thrones with The Imp!

Oh, Im not trying to take that away. I was simply pointing out that the dead money shouldn't be looked at as negative.... Its all part of the process...

I have heard from a source that it was actually tate sleeping with russ. Percy is very homophobic and ended up punching tate over it. It was recently brought up again, and they thought russ and Percy were going to throw down.

Other than a bartender supposedly overhearing one player discussing this ridiculous rumor . . . or maybe he heard from someone who heard from someone who heard from someone that they overheard a player discussing this idiotic rumor . . . is that the full extent of your evidence that "the players" believe this rumor to be true? This is exactly why we have a hearsay rule.

Hans Gruber heard it with his own ears, not through a bartender. I don't fancy Hans a guy that would make up a big lie for fun, and even if he was lying, there are many other accounts, including some in this thread, that pretty much relayed the same information.

I'm withholding judgement on Tate's innocence or guilt. Rumors are just that, and I know what I don't know. But I do think there is a compelling case that the locker room was set on fire by the rumor long before it hit the press. That's the reason I think Tate was let go so easily. It wasn't about whether the rumor was valid, but about what that rumor had done to the locker room and the perceived risk of handing a $30 million deal to a player who might not fit in anymore.

In that case I agree 100%. Dumping Percy now was the best move in a bad situation if what we're hearing now is true.
