What a wonderful 180 from Sherman

Sherman said this too at start. On the plane he was hugging russ and telling the camera how good russ is.

Sadly the loss to Pats and Egos changed everything.

Wasn't aware he did that way back then. Makes it even sadder about how it ended up.

I think worth pointing out is how much he was hit and hurried at the beginning, most QBs are shell shocked and it effects them the rest of the game. Wilson was unfazed, that is such a rare trait, and is his best gift.

Tical has to eat some crow on this one as well. Russ carved up their zone defense with quick, accurate passes.
Something supposedly he couldn't do, and is why they have to run the ball so much, to mask Wilson's supposed deficiency.

My argument has been is he is more than capable, but Pete doesn't like to drink and dunk, and their offense at times is so rigid and straightforward that it makes it very difficult for all 11 players on the field, but especially the QB.

Wilson thrives in the quick game, it is just a question of coach wanting to do it or not.

That will never happen since it was pointed out he was the best in the against Zone at that point. That number just went up.

before people criticise Wilson, just imagine having a 'fine' QB like Cousins.

We have it good

Too short, can't see over the middle, lost 2 steps.

Please take note on all of those green dots in the short middle of the field. While your mouth is agape at the pass chart in total.

And is doing it with bottom 3 pass protection.

That is all.

:sarcasm_on: Geez, he's garbage! Clearly, he can't throw to his left! Trade his ass!

Oh, yeah, and he's too short! :sarcasm_off:

Those green dots are what we begged for!! Several short dumps and screens to RB'd, hot routes to DK and Lockette, it was a thing of beauty!! That is how you cripple an aggressive D, take what they just gave you and move the sticks. :irishdrinkers:

Not buying this narrative. With what RW is being paid, he needs to do more for us than win games.

Please take note on all of those green dots in the short middle of the field.

They really switched it up this week. That chart shows up in stark contrast to the 2017 and 2018 heat map posted earlier in the week. Those short quick passes over the middle had to have surprised the Steelers. It really loads up the Saint's plate for all they are force to prepare for now that Russell has broken from his familiar pattern.

His chart a week ago looked very different .................. Pass chart WIL777781 2019 reg 1 1567986967983
..................... quite the contrast from week 1 to week 2.

Seattle was intentionally vanilla against the Bengals because they knew they had Pittsburgh & New Orleans on deck.

Pete figured that they could run the ball, and take a couple playaction shots and call it a game against the Bengals.

Then expand drastically for Pittsburgh & New Orleans, so far it is going swimmingly.

With Brees hurt, Pete might corral the offense again, I hope not. They need to keep this quick passing game going until teams show they can stop it.

The way PIttsburgh plays, they dare you to beat them with a quick passing game. Most teams don't play us this way. I'd be really surprised if we were able to be this efficient against different schemes.
