    If they did something like this, I’d have to think it’d be to accumulate draft capital to move up for a QB next draft. Whether it’s DK or anybody else, you’d have to get back a first to make this work. But this rumor is just an internet idea I think.

    Macdonald will obviously get a lot of chances (games and draft picks) over the next several years, but Knight will offer the first clue. Apparently this is the guy he really wanted so he'll be an interesting watch in training camp and preseason.

    He seems the opposite of a dart throw. This seems like a guy that Macdonald specifically targeted. I also don’t think it can be considered a reach when we got him at #118 instead of #121 or #136. 90% of these fourth rounders are going to wash out any way.

    I thought the draft compensation was an issue of how much of his salary they wanted to pick up. I may be wrong...but if not, I'd rather they manage their money a bit better and give up less draft capital.

    You're probably right about that. It's probably not complete fabrication but more making a mountain out of a molehill. I know Atlanta is feeling the heat (including from Cousins) on this move.

    After having time to think about this, it wouldn't be surprising if Atlanta is the source of this rumor because they've taken so much heat for this pick.

    Teams that picked in Seattle’s neighborhood had to be incredulous. Starting around the Raiders at #13 with Bowers, they were all like “we have the choice of anything we want”. It was like having a top-8 pick.
