    Without Wilson

No question that Wilson's a stud, but almost every team is screwed without their starting QB. Look at Green Bay. From being in the running for a #1 seed to out of the playoffs.

    I'm strangely encouraged

While losing sucks, there were many things to like in the game tonight. The Seahawks battled their asses off. The defensive line and linebackers shut down the run (3 YPC). The offense was creative, had some positive running plays and displayed a quick passing game. 31 points will get it done...

It's time to move on from Pete. Thank you, Pete

I honestly thought that Bevell called a really solid game. There were lots of quick passes, misdirection and screens, none of which we've seen much of this year. Not to mention 31 points. There have been ugly games this year on offense, but this wasn't one of them.

    Theory on FG Fake

Terrible call on Pete's part that may have cost them the game.

This team got outcoached and outhearted

You'll get no argument from me on coaching, Pete had two really questionable calls that cost the team tonight. I call bullshit on the 'outhearted' and no 'grit' though. The Seahawks were short handed and battled their asses off.

Blueprint to stop Seahawk offense. .

It really feels like Washington outcoached the Seahawks in this one.

Our run game in a nutshell......

I'm not defending the run game, but here's the play with Norman: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I24sW0NwVI. There's no hole. Rawls had instant pressure in the backfield from what looks like a missed assignment on the left side. He bounced the run because he didn't have a choice. It sure...

    next man up...George Farmer(RB)?

My guess is that they put Pope on IR, freeing up a spot. Then, Prosise could be inactive if they think that he's back this season.

    next man up...George Farmer(RB)?

Good call on Chris Polk if he's kept himself in shape. Solid, if unspectacular, RB without too much wear on the tires. I don't recall how he is in pass pro, but my recollection from UW is that he was a pretty good receiver.

Hugh Millen sounding off this Morning

Mike Holmgren is on KJR now and agrees with Hugh that the play should have been audibled to a slant based on the pre-snap alignment and that it would have been an almost certain touchdown.

Last play call was XLIX all over again

Listening to Hugh Millen on KJR and he is absolutely killing the Seahawks for the last play. Basically, he's saying that the cornerback was the only defender on that side of the field with no safety help, was 4 yards off the ball and wasn't playing inside leverage at all. The play should have...

    Earl getting flagged after TD?

It was a legit call in my opinion. That was pretty inappropriate.

Botched FG at end of first half...

The snaps have been a problem this year for certain, but that one was fine. Ryan just mishandled it.

    The offense is struggling, but...

... they aren't getting a whole lot of help with field position either. -They are last in the league in percentage of drives (35%) starting inside the 20. For contrast, the Cowboys lead at 14% -The defense isn't forcing turnovers to provide short fields. Going into today they were tied for...

    WR pick play

Don't forget the holding call on Sherman when they would have gotten off the field. By the rules, it was probably a hold but even the announcer said that it was ticky-tack.
