And Aaron Rodgers is 40.

Look, If I'm the Steelers, I'm studying the 5-game win streak that Russ took the execrable Broncos on , their longest win streak since 2015, against some quality teams.
And play to all of Wilson's strengths that made that happen....

Now, if Tomlin tries to coach the RW square peg(unintentional pun) into a Steelers round hole, a-la Sean Payton, they are doomed.
I’ve been on the ‘hate train’ against Russ. I place a great deal of Pete’s and ultimately, the teams downfall on his shoulders. Not that my opinion matters but I wanted to preface the following….

Russ didn’t look anywhere near as bad last year as year 1 with Denver. Since there’s no invested interest such as draft picks involved, I won’t really be keeping up with Dangerwich in Pitt.

I wouldn’t be shocked to see him do well though…similarly, if he shits the bed..no real surprise.

The latest word out of Steelers camp is Fields is inattentive and bored most of the time. Remember the Superstar of the future, Johnny Football, whose career never had a start? Could Justin be the next in the line of QBs who blew off a career for Rookie money?

Fields is not better than Wilson. Just having a QB who isn't a rapist, or lacks a punchable face (unlike Rudolph), is not going to do Pittsburgh any good. They need someone who is actually capable.

I think Russ will be number one, but I've always thought Fields got a raw deal at the Bears who upgrade big style with Allen, Swift & Everett
He basically had no one to throw to until last season & linked well with DJ Moore & Kmet at times
Maybe not a franchise QB but not that bad if Russ struggles early on

It isn't. Let's call up the picture of Brady, pre-draft.

Get over it at some point. Geezus :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

He's not a Hawk. Move tf on at some point.

This is why it's in the NFL Nation forum and not the Seattle Seahawks Football forum. If you're not interested in reading what people have to say about Fields and Wilson, there is a very simple solution: you can stop reading this thread. The title of the thread makes it pretty clear both Fields and Wilson could be discussed extensively in the thread, so if that kind of thing is going to upset your delicate sensibilities, you can protect yourself by steering clear of it.

Not sure what's worse. Our collective obsession with Russ or your obsession with clicking on these threads and telling everyone else to get over it.

Actually, I don't think our so-called obsession with Russell is a bad or unnatural thing. He was the face of our franchise for 10 years and was arguably the most polarizing player in team history, so why wouldn't we talk about him and follow his fortunes long after he's gone? It makes for some good drama.

This. But i dont get the push back on talking about him. I dont think its abnormal at all. Go to the Packers forum. They have stickies for both Rodgers and Favre that are both active topics.

@SoulfishHawk just wants everyone to get along and to let Russ live in peace.
