I am 55. A proud member of the “38 Club”. (If you know you know). I’ve been a diehard from day one. When I witnessed February 2nd, 2014, I quite literally thought I had died and gone to Heaven.

There’s no wrong answer to this poll by the way. Whether you became a fan recently or been a diehard since inception, we are all 12’s.

Fact.

This poll is simply based upon my own curiosity. When did you become a fan of the Seahawks?

First game I watched was the 84 playoffs...that's only 40 years of pain...super pumped for the next 40 years of pain!

Since the beginning with caveats. In the 70's I was in the service stationed elsewhere and tried to follow them in newspaper clippings and highlights on the news.

In the 80's and 90's I was out of the Corps but stationary, at least, in SoCal. Was always looking for the blurbs in the local paper and got maybe a couple paragraphs or so every week and watched the few games that got televised. ESPN helped, because they at least provided one more highlight show that would give the Hawks a minute or so of coverage/commentary every week. It got better in the Chuck Knox era, winning helps the national exposure.

At the turn of the century, in the Holmgren era, good coverage again surged and we got more games and screen time. I came home to King County in 2005, I used some of the profits from selling my California house to get season tickets, where I got to attend the most successful era to date, including the playoffs. Good times.

Had to give up my seats, however, after 3 or 4 years for financial reasons.

Not much to say about the Pete era, most of us were around for those good times.

72 now, and looking forward to more good years under the new regime, hoping we get another Lombardi before I kick off.

Good times.

Moved to PNW in ‘82, my first season of Hawks. Loved them ever since. Loved the uniforms before moving here so it was easy to like them after Ground Chuck was hired. The buzz was infectious. At 52, I hope I get to see at least one more Super Bowl victory.

My family moved to Seattle in 1977 so I chose day 1. I remember watching guys like Sam McCallum, Dave Brown, Cornell Webster, David Sims, Terry Beeson, Keith Butler, Norm Evans, Steve August, Ron Howard, etc.

Got 10 years on ya, turned 65 in April. Junior in high school when we got the team and have been a diehard from day one. Grew up in southern Washington so it was an easy choice to finally have a local team to follow.

I was just 7 when I first heard that there was a new team and it wasn’t that far away from me (relatively). I was 8 when they played their first game. Have been a fan the whole time. I will say that in the 90s my fandom was able to actually flourish more with the internet. When all you have is local tv and newspaper and magazines it was harder to be a “long distance fan”. Once I started using the internet it led me to this place which has been my main Seahawks fix ever since.

Started playing football at 6 yrs old I'm 46 now. Growing up we were very poor. My mother used to get us clothes from the local goodwill. One winter day my mother gave us all donated sweaters. My sweater just happened to be Grey with the Seahawk logo. God bless who ever donated that Seahawk sweater. 80's for me.

Since the beginning of 2003. I didn't like football until I played Madden 2003 and grew to like the strategy and gained a big interest in the sport. It was fun to watch the team play and get an idea of who the players on the team were and get an idea of how good each player was based on ratings from the game. I was a big Hasselbeck fan during that era, I thought he was great and underrated even if he didn't have a very strong arm at all.

Video games are also directly responsible for getting me into the 1993 Sonics(NBA Jam) and the Mariners(Ken Griffey on SNES). I actually started to really follow the Mariners literally right before they went on there 1995 run which was so exciting so around July-August 1995.

Born in 1988, my aunt gave me an autographed John Friesz picture around 95 I believe. It was my first autograph so that's when I started following them. Then of course the Sonics and Mariners came along with that.

I'm mid 2000's. Literally the XL year.

I'm totally shocked how many day 1 and 80's percentages are here! That's actually amazing.
