I missed the first five years. Moved from the Midwest to Everett area in January of '81.

1976 seems like eons ago, even 98' when .net was started feels like a donkey's lifetime. Some of us oldtimers may not get to see the Hawks win 500 but the good news is the future looks bright under Macdonald.

How do you know that this picture isn’t from the first few years?

Could not watch/listen to the 1st game...no cable or functional radio. Was able to see sports highlights on a broadcast station we could get. Oiler fan turned hawk fan a year later. Wish I was that age again with my aged understanding of the world.

Kudos to everyone who has enjoyed the rides. Lean times, dark times, major/minor miracles, good & great teams/players. Fandom is part of an identity.

Yeah, It's definitely been an interesting journey to 400 that's for sure. I missed a large portion of 4 years when I was in the Military. I got stationed on the east coast and there wasn't to any Hawk games on locally. I missed a portion of the 98 season when I was in the Iraqi desert.

My dad was raised LA, wanted me to be a Rams fan. My first attended game was at 5. We went home from LA, back to Seattle, and I said ”I’m a Seahawks fan” I liked the colors.

I was 10 and so exited to hear we were getting a team I watched em every sunday , I wasn't a whiner fan but really liked montana
Then for trade schooling I moved to AZ and back then in '84 '85' and part of 86 I couldn't see em all the time bcuz YOU HAD TO HAVE AN 8 FT SATELITE DISH in your yard and bein a kid i was a renter so no dish
It only sucked when I came back and heard how close we came to getting into the playoffs cuz in glendale way back when nobody talked about the seahawks , before so many nfln and espn type networks weren't conceived of or available over rabbit ears lol
I had to read about standings in a NEWSPAPER which had very little actual game info
Now that I can I think I'll watch as many games as i can find from those years during the off season , hey , it's somethin and it'll be fun re living the kind of ball they played back then
I was the lone seahawks diehard in the family and I mean the entire extended group of cousins , second cousins and all and then came holmgren and some interest mildly started and then came PC and I wouldn't go to husky stadium cuz with that stadium I'd rather watch from home , went to tons of kingdome games and when SEAHAWKS STADIUM was built I got 3 club seats I had from 2002 till the market crashed in 08 and I never sold a single ticket , now I kinda wished I had cuz I probably coulda kept em even with my contractor biz literally disappearing overnight
I bought 5 xtra tix and brought uncles and nephews and made everyone show up 2 hours early and the nephew got paul allens sig and bunch of others as did some uncles , got em tix right by the tunnel and now we are a very happy seahawks lovin family and I drive my uncle 3 times a year and we buy tix , this year I got a a season from another member THX HEFFMAN HERE but life got in the way and I couldn't attend all the games but some fam were happy to go and am going to the packers and the viks with my uncle , so it just took some perseverance
Sure makes it easy come xmas or bdays for me as everybody knows , pssst , get him something seahawks and Hey Aros , you probably don't remember but I was that wacko like ten years ago who wanted to donate a 120 inch projector to a seahawks fan but didn't know who or what or how to go about it
Everything in my life since childhood has revolved around seahawks and so I should probably get a life
Possibly my longest post ever so TLDR lol

Go Hawks

Great post. I loved Husky stadium though. I had a Bills player try and fight me because I called fat. Hawks Nest.

I've heard about the comma only movement, but never experienced it. Appreciate the understanding.

It was a riot at Husky field. We got 6 footballs from extra points or field goals. Security would come running, and you just tossed over the bleathers, while someone ran down and got it. My brother danced with SA after the Raider game. Just hopped on the field.

Having been a season ticket holder back in the kingdome days, it's been a long hard rollercoaster ride. I was thrilled to see seattle finally establish itself as a winning culture thanks to the leadership of Paul Allen.
Hopefully the Macdonald era will continue with that tradition, and provide us with a couple more chips.
