Hope Mrs. Naylor has by now delivered so that Josh Naylor himself can deliver tonight and tomorrow.

GAME DAY!!! 1:08pm why? Because the schedule makers hate us. (tomorrow's game is at 12:08pm, Friday's at 1:40pm). I hope my employer doesn't mind that I'll be streaming these games all week.

Nothing wrong with Kirby.. DW should have pulled him or just walked Carpenter.
Exactly. Kirby is a beast. Not his fault that Dan is too stupid to pull him against a guy who has killed him. Esp. when he has Spier waiting. Also, it was strike 3, ump screwed him.

Very good point. These things matter a lot. Does the team have your back or not? They absolutely do. He's a Mariner and needs to stay one. I have a feeling he rips it when he gets back on the field. If he misses one game, so be it.

That's what they just said on the news as well. Looking like it will most likely start on time, but there is still a possibility of a short delay. A significant delay, or postponement, seems very unlikely at this point.

Yep. When Salk was announcing the lineup, he says: And at 1st base....(long pause)....Josh Naylor. Man, that was great to hear.
Big Dad power now. Calling it now, he hits a double or HR today.

So, did the wife have the baby? I think the distraction of waiting for the call has him playing at less than full go. Would like to know his mind is fully in the game.

Yes, I read the child was born. I also read it was their first child together, so that could definitely have ratcheted up the nerves/excitement/distraction even more.

Yep, it's a huge deal. Baseball is important, your child is a hell of a lot more important. Sounds like the timing was right.

The smile says it all -- Naylor's a daddy! (Looks like he's ready to bash a 500-footer now.)
