Too soon but Barkley and Jacobs, same dude that ran all over the defense. And Seahawks have $50+ million in cap space next season right? go after one of them.

and no, don’t say we have Penny. Done with him, unreliable to stay healthy.

You forget about the elephant in the room, Geno Smith is a FA. That's going to cut right into that number if we resign him, plus the other players that need to be resigned.

I'm reasonably certain Walker would have run all over this defense with the blocking Jacobs was getting.

If anything, spend a mid-range pick on an RB.

No, the team has many other areas to address besides running back. I would like to see them pick up a short yardage power back, or maybe even a fullback. But I'm confident in Walker right now for our future back as long as he stays healthy

Neither of those dudes will be in the price range of a team desperately in need of DL and DE studs. I wouldnt mind Penny on another 1 year prove it deal. I doubt he'll get much action elsewhere. I'd feel fine rolling with who we currently have next season since we have so many other needs to remain competitive over a whole season.

There is $53 million in cap space but only 33 players are signed. The only top FA I would target is Daron Payne who will probably get 14-20 million per year I am assuming the Bears will out bid every other team

We also need to alot $12+ million to the rookie cap. The cap space isn't nearly as good as many believe.

That's not fair. I would rather have Penny than either of those guys because he has a similar upside, is cheaper, and has the same injury concerns as Barkley.

I’d rather make a run at James Robinson. A guy who’s between the tackles and would compliment Walker nicely. He’s seemed to fall out of favor quickly in New York since he was traded so he should come at a price that’s favorable.

Also I’d like a OC that’d utilized the run.

I’d rather keep penny and add a big bruiser type back (Dillon)
Type through the draft in the later rounds of the draft ….

This makes sense. A guy like him or Gibson (WA) or Montgomery (CHI) fit. They need a blunt instrument to take and give a beating.

Defense, and then Defense in round 1, LB and then Draft a damned good CENTER in round 2 of '23' they need to quit screwing around with also ran developmental could be okay JAGS to play that position, and while we're at it, Draft a Beastly Fullback or RB maybe round 3ish.

Don’t like RBs in free agency on average RBs start going downhill by the age of 28 especially in a run heavy offense Seattle likes to run. I would rather draft a RB every draft and once their rookie contract is up let them walk. $50 million might sound like a lot of money but the Hawks have only 33 players signed, 20 players have to be resigned or replaced.

If you look to 2024 if Seattle keeps the present players they will be over $128 million under the cap with 19 players signed

From the 2022 draft there's already Tyler Allgeier (5th rd), Peirce (4th rd), Pacheco (7th rd), Jaylen Warren (undrafted), Rachaad White (3rd rd), and a few others off to good starts who were picked in the mid round and later.

Good RB free agents being cheaper than other positions is one of the many other reasons why it sucks spending high picks on RBs.

I thought Waldron was utilizing the run/pass mix when he had healthy running backs.

Build the O line, the D line, then worry about the peripherals. Let Geno walk, he is just a guy that will keep us from high draft picks for a few years. Right now, Hawks should just go for experience and play a QB other than Geno. Give someone else a chance. Build a true championship base, the future HOF QB will come to them.

If either wants to give us a bargain deal for some weird reason (that would be a poor career decision for either so im not getting my hopes up), sure I'll listen, but how often does paying FA running backs even work anymore? Im struggling to think of the last big money deal that wasnt regrettable for the team who made it. Feels like a waste of cap space. I think we have a stud in KW3 anyway. The Penny ride has been kind of a roller coaster, but at the very least, he's good enough for the kind of contract he's likely to command.

Neither is affordable. I do agree they need to bring a bona-fide 2 guy ..and no not Penny. Kareem Hunt? Dernest Johnson?
