He’s got the potential of Megatron. But it hasn’t really happened. And if not by now when? He may have trade value to someone. I’d rather have a good guard or two. His biggest highlight is chasing down Buhda.
Breh, you don't say he has the potential of Megatron when he's been in the league this long lol. Megatron was *way* better and jumping up and catching balls.

I was pissed, to be honest. There was no reason for it. But....meh.
There's never a 'good' time for a stupid PF penalty, but that one, unlike some of his sloppy route running, didn't have a huge effect on the outcome in a game that had minimal playoff implications.

At this point, there's little hope that Metcalf will ever grow up or mature. He's still subjected to being baited and none of his coaches, past or present, have the balls to sit him and send him the message that it's not OK, so he is what he is. We just got to pray that he doesn't lose his cool in a critical moment.

It's going to happen because he loses his cool almost every game. Hopefully we will trade him and get something for him before he costs us dearly. DK is a nitwit with no governor, and despite some impressive athleticism, he subtracts more than he adds. His numbskull antics just continue unabated, and if none of our coaches have gotten throught to him by now then they never will.

Fair enough. But he also hasn't done this since last year. I hated it.

Never mind, I'm done talking about DK. Probably for the best.

JSN is the best receiver and it's not close. Better hands, better route running, better football IQ, doesn't let the defense get in his head, never seen him quite on a play or half ass a route. DK can block and run fast
Make DK a Tight End, when he bucks, trade him. He is a good receiver on a bad team. He should be a Cowboy.

Coaches can only influence someone. The issue with DK's hot headedness is it comes in the moment and not when he's thinking clearly. So his habits just take over. Coaching won't change that situation for him, only DK and only if he chooses to. Which means subjecting himself into situations like that outside of a game and learning techniques to recognize and control his emotions. Some people spend their entire lives not wanting to or even knowing how to recognize and control their emotions.

That's a very good breakdown. Whether it's true or not, neither of us knows, but it sounds reasonable.

I watched the Youtube video about Randy Moss. DK and he have some things in common. They both have unique talents and skillsets, and both seemed to be afflicted with a huge ego, and rose or fall in pace with their mentality. DK as a Cowboy or other player in a pass happy offense, COULD BE DYNAMITE. In the scheme of Mike McD, it seems clear that he wants a team driven by a strong defense, and the ability to dominate via the run. In that vein, DK and Geno seem to be dispensable. Both could fluorish elsewhere, whereas Seattle is in Building mode. NOT re building. Of course that would change to the latter if they traded two of their best.

Be traded or stay, DK will have to learn another offense system. We have a list of OC waiting to be interviewed, I bet DK is anxious about who will be the next OC, and what system the new guy will bring.

I mean you said it, Mike McD's scheme does NOT favor DK and Geno. That points at rebuild. I could own a very good sedan, but if my intent was to have a vehicle that could go offroading on weekends. I'm gonna sell/trade that Sedan and get a vehicle that suits my actual needs/desires.

DK's role for 2025? It all depends on which team he will be playing, if he signs with the Chargers, his role will be very different from signing with the Raiders.

With JSN doing what I knew he was going to do, I’m very open to a DK trade.

I love DK…truly do. He brings a unique athleticism and does quite a bit behind the scenes. He’s a real deep threat and forces defenses to account for that - we don’t see a lot of Cover 0’s…and a lot of that is due to DK.

But, if we can get a 1st out of him, I’d send him on the first thing flying.
were not getting a 1st for him

No we’re not. Trade for LaPorta? In a second. Take a 2nd? You bet. We might get a 3rd and 4th. Or a player of some merit. We traded an excellent center for a freak but soft TE. It could happen. A good run game and pass protection could achieve the same benefits as a deep threat with a low catch rate.

Hell, I'd say even the 5'10 Golden Tate was better at high pointing the ball than DK has been as a Seahawk. DK plays like a much smaller receiver.
