So, what we do know from what we have seen from Seattle's interview candidates is that their seems to be a preference for a guy who has experience in the league, whether at OC (Brown, Kubiak, Leftwich) or at a position they highly value (o line). They also seem open to exploring pairing talent with potential (Udinski).

But what if what we have seen from the FO to date is simply them leaving no stone unturned and actually them exploring cabdidates that, although they might go so far as to make offers to and be ok with (timing is an important factor in all of this), they arent actually tops on their list.

When you look at what they seem to be favoring:
.Experience at the oline and crafting successful blocking schemes
.Experience in the run game
.Knowledge of the pass game
.Capable of functioning autonomously with little oversight, and in a proven l, complimentary way.

There's a guy who isn't yet available who could be a prime target:

Aaron Kromer

He is currently the Bills O line coach, on a team that has been a juggernaut on offense on the ground and through the air ( their line is ranked 3rd this year). He also has experience as an OC with Chicago in 2013 and 2014 when their offense was very formidable, and has been a run game coordinator with the Rams as late as 2020.

In my opinion, the dude has the experience both in calling games and having a proven expertise in oline play and blocking to be EXACTLY the kind of guy Mac and John are looking for.

First thing that comes up when you google him is an arrest for battery. Punched a kid in the face.

Nobody knows what happened with that and it was 10 years ago.

There was an altercation between the kid and Kromer's son. He intervened and was accused of hitting the other kid during the altercation.

Misdemeanor charges were dropped as the parties settled out of court 16 days after the incident.

By all accounts, the dude is a phenomenal coach and his players love him.

This is actually a totally understandable thing. Parental instincts can make self control extremely difficult.

This was a 2015 beach incident involving Kroger, his son and 3 "boys" (ages unknown) during his first stint with the Bills. It was settled out of court and the Bills hired him back in 2022.
Before jumping to conclusions you might want to do a bit of a dive on the situation before judging too harshly.

2019 article on SBNation- Los Angeles Rams most important coach is offensive line coach Aaron Kromer.

In his 20 years as an NFL offensive line coach or coordinator he has helped 16 players earn a total of 23 Pro Bowl appearances.

Yes but most people here want to know how this ties in with getting rid of Geno?

But seriously nice write up on an outside the box candidate (outside the box because his name hasn’t been mentioned by anyone including the Seahawks) He’s worth looking into

I'm all for Kromer if he can bring Josh Allen with him. While Kromer may be solid, a player like Allen can mask OL deficiencies. Seahawks don't currently have that type of player at QB.

Who was jumping to conclusions? I was simply stating a fact. Didn't judge him. Actually think he's a good candidate.

Absolutely didn't mean you, it was directed at random readers in general.
See, you did jump to a conclusion, lol.
This story was touched on briefly here on .net in 2015.
And I agree, he would be a great candidate.

He punched 3 "boys"? Boys as in, they're 20 years old men and are called boys to garner sympathy or did he pop like 3 11 year olds?

After this weekend we might find out he was on our radar afterall.

I kind of assumed we'd be looking to poach someone from Philadelphia. But the Bills and Commanders we're top offenses as well.

In spite of all the Mahomes hoopla, the Chiefs (15th, 22.6 ppg) barely finished above the Seahawks (18th, 22.1 ppg).
