Should Geno join Pete in Vegas?

I remember when people thought Pete was going to go all out to try to acquire everyone he coached at USC. I think the most capital he spent acquiring any of them was when we moved down seven spots in the fourth round and nine spots in the sixth round for LenDale White. The Titans also traded us DT Kevin Vickerson in that deal.

Other than that, it was stuff like a sixth rounder on Anthony McCoy, a seventh rounder on Malcolm Smith, Mike Morgan was a UDFA, Mike Williams signed for the minimum, etc.

He's not going to be the GM in Vegas anyway.
What I found interesting is how he went more after the guys he had experience coaching against.

Golden Tate, Earl Thomas, Bruce Irvin, Doug Baldwin, Richard Sherman, Coleman, and Browner all came from rival schools or were directly recruited by Carroll

Aiden, Geno, Howell, they are all stop-gap QBs that will never lead a team to a Super Bowl. So no, Pete's not giving up squat to get Geno.

A long-term contract for Geno? A GM would have to be bonkers out of his mind to waste cap space on that. Unless his initials are JS.

My guess is Pete will grab Shadur if he's available at the 6th pick, or else look at Sam Darnold for a couple of years until he can find the next Russ.

I think Howell is the perfect stopgap qb to get us to the [qb rich] '26 draft. We would likely pick in the top ten, making it much easier to trade up for a Manning or similar if necessary. If we start Geno again, that opportunity almost certainly vanishes, and we will be on the outside looking in again. And you never know, Howell may develop into a good qb with significant playing time. It's a win-win either way, and it would make for a very interesting 2025 season.
Howell would win exactly 0 games. Should put the team inline for Arch Manning though..except he'd never play here....

GeeNo to the Raiders?

Pipe dream stuff.

He'd need to be really cheap for them to be at all interested.

Exactly this. Why would Pete even want him?
Mark Davis: So Pete, you're very fortunate. Few people in your position truly get another chance. What can we do to make sure this Raiders tenure is the resounding success that really cements your legacy as an all-time great coach?

I think Pete goes for catching lightning in a bottle again.

That's what got Pete in trouble in Seattle. Always the cute, luxury takes that he thought he could form into whatever he envisioned. Trying to catch that lightning one more time caused years of terrible drafts.

Geno is just that $40mil INT machine that Schneider must cut ties with. Surely the Hawks could use the saving to rebuild the OL and DL.

Do you guys think Schneider should just cut geNO or try to trade him to the raiders for a 6th rounder?

I read that the Raiders are under cap, by a lot. Even if they find a savior class QB in the current draft, signing a vet makes sense so they won't have to rush the rookie QB into starting.
Raiders are 108 million under the cap from what I have read.

Geno to the Raiders? Maybe... I think the player that is gone is Tyler Lockett, unless the Seahawks pay the man which I don't think they will. Raiders have the 6th pick in the draft .

I think Carroll will gut the Raider roster.

Pete had history of starting rookie QB.

Pete isn't the GM.

Of all the "would the Raiders want X?" talk, Lockett is actually the one guy here I could see them making a move on, but it won't be a trade. Nobody is taking him at his current salary. I'd rather see him on a contender anyway, but the Raiders would probably pay him more than a team like the Chiefs or Commanders.
