Good Marco showed up. Struggled a bit in first 2 innings, but held them to 1 run in 6.2.

Just enough offense to win 2-1.

Would be so Mariners for them to win this series.

Any idea how many players we will be down when we go to Toronto? I think Dipoto said a few, whatever that means. Really glad to see JK sent down, don’t care who you are, you can’t hit that awful and stay in the lineup.

Welp, I guess we know the formula required for this team to grind out a win. All we have to do is hold the opposing team to 1 or fewer runs. Easy peasy.

*sigh*

Don't get me wrong. I'm stoked they won. Especially against a great pitcher and a really good team, but geez. The best word I can think of to describe the 2022 Mariners offense is impotent.

Yeah, well, except for catcher. We apparently don't have another one, so Raleigh stays up. Thankfully, we didn't need him to bat after we pinch hit for Torrens.

Officially rain delayed. Bummer. Taking squeegees to the tarp now, but still iffy.

Root just announced an 8:05 first pitch, so 5:05 PDT. We'll see. They peeled the tarp back to dump the water off of it, then put it back out on the infield.

Winker finally connects! 3 run bomb in the 7th to tie the game. Finally he shows some power.

Takes Kirby off the hook for a loss. :)

Heluva game. Cal Raleigh connects with a 2 run jack in the 6th. Castillo, amazingly, with the save.

Julio gets the game MVP, though, on base 4 times including a rocket homer to left.

8-7 Nice to see the bats waking up. Mets first series loss of the year.

That was about ad Mariners of a win as you can get. Come from behind, get a decent lead, give up a couple runs to make it a 1 run game, load the bases and get the last out on a full count strikeout.

Also Sutz, slight correction, Julio was on base 5 times. 4 hits and a walk.

16 hits, more than half the lineup had a multi hit game. A hit from every spot in the order. Great game offensively.

Meh. Mets are one of the best hitting teams in the league. That's a long lineup. :)

I'm just glad we got the win.
