If I were a Pats fan, I'd find this chart pretty depressing:
More depressing :
depressing for the Pats, I mean.![]()
About Gonzo, I'll say it again :My opinion has zero bearing on the outcome of this game but, I’ll say this confidently.
The Pats are about to get spanked. They’re in the SB for a reason, but I have zero doubt that this game will be the hardest they’ve had this year.
And all this talk I see in the media about Gonzales on JSN…give me a damn break. JSN is going bust that boy up.
I predict a very comfortable win. Very comfortable.
I'll just say this :Is there a world where the Pats could win this game? Are there aspects that are being overlooked?
On paper Seattle should dominate, but 4 out of the last 5 Super Bowl winners were underdogs going into the game.
Everyone is also citing "strength of schedule" but guess what? The teams with the weakest strength of schedule historically, who made the SB, also WON their Super Bowls... so it's not really about SOS. It's about the match ups in THIS game - barring fluky stuff like ref interference, injuries, special team errors, fumbles, etc.
I don't see this as a blowout unless Sam plays out of his mind again.
That's how I see it.To me, the only team that can beat the Seahawks is.........the Seahawks.
Yes their D is way better than 9ers and also better than the Rams. The Seahawks are the better team, but the Patriots have some strengths on defense that the Seahawks will have to contend with.
The Patriots' cornerbacks are good--not just Christian Gonzalez, but Carlton Davis and Marcus Jones are all legit. Their defensive line is solid, especially in run defense. Milton Williams and Cory Durden are the real deal.
Careful man, you never want the beans on top of the frank. You're gonna have a bad time. That would be amazing. Fingers, legs and other stuff crossed![]()
I’d expect thier defense on the stat sheet to look better when they’re playing shit teams. The stats sheet MAKES them LOOK better than they actually are.Yes their D is way better than 9ers and also better than the Rams.
Bradford and Sundell need to bring their A game, because strong interior pressure can throw Sam off his spot.
The Patriots defense (23rd, +5.5% DVOA) is not even remotely better than the Rams (4th, -12.4% DVOA).Yes their D is way better than 9ers and also better than the Rams.
