I'm with you on that. Funny thing is when PC got hired stopping the screen game was a huge change he brought. I loved watching the LOB destroy bubble and standard screens. It's so refreshing to see it again. Seeing vitually no YAC brings my right back to LOB hayday. This Defensive may eventually be better then the LOB.

I am hopeful Grubb can actually get a good screen game going for us, a feat PC never could. Not too much though! Just enough to keep the D on their toes. Keep it as a wrinkle.

Game day execution is a reflection of what is practiced during the week. A couple years ago, more time for screen practice became available when the time reserved for improvisation practice gave way to the screen. It's been a slow transition until the new coaching staff arrived and kicked the transition into overdrive. Much like what has happen with the renewed emphasis on tackle practice.

That last few year for the Hawks I’ve always said sarcastically….

“The key to winning this game is staying away from the 3rd and longs… on Defense

It feels good to be back to 3rd on long being a reason for optimism.

We did a great job on third downs Sunday. That was a great thing to see.
