I can't recall a head coach being fired this early into the season. And yes, the Jets didn't look real great, but they were just one game out of first place in their division with a lot of football left to play. To say that the firing is premature is an understatement. Might as well have fired him at the end of last season.

Always hated that guy, ever since his comment about Lynch coming out of retirement to play in that game to decide the division. If it wasn't for a bs non call in the end zone, Lynch would have had the game winning TD. Salah said something like "That's cute" about us using him.
F that guy.

On the other hand, we all know why he was fired. Erin always gets his way. By the end of tomorrow, Adams will be on the Jets.

He was pretty bad from the start and never got better.

His first year he looked over his head most of the time.

They have him time to develop, they hit on a could picks, they brought in a QB and have him a mulligan season after that QB for injured

I can see then wanting to move on if they think they have an opening - just not a good HC

He wasn't good but wasn't done any favors. His GM whiffed on Zach Wilson and panicked getting Rodgers. Not a chance in hell he wanted Hackett as his OC. Owner is trigger happy. Rodgers looks washed but watch them trade for Davante Adams when those picks should be going to a future QB. Then get stuck when he is unhappy and Rodgers is gone.

Good DC imo…I don’t think his decision to wear a Lebanese flag was approved by the Jets.

Obviously, their record/expectations was the ultimate factor. But, I can’t help but think that his political statement he made in that last game sped up the process.

Touchy subject for both ‘sides’ of the conflict. It probably shouldn’t be intertwined with entertainment & sports.

Rumors are the players didn’t like him. I think Hackett needs to go too but haven’t heard if that’s the case or not
Hackett isn't going anywhere. The GM, and by GM I mean Rodgers, loooooovvvveeeesss him some Hackett.

I am shocked they didn't name Hackett the interim. Since the did not I am guessing Rodgers played the "If he isn't OC - I am out" card.

The Inmates are running the asylum.

Saleh, was also on the Seahawks coaching staff as well…you would think since he knows Lynch he should have acted with better taste…oh well….

Typical Jets, their owner will screw up the team regularly and often and wonders why nobody can coach the team to winning season.

Saleh screwed himself and couldn't really get along with Rodgers.
