I forgot to mention, before the game started, the camera panned to the 49ers players waiting to head out to the field. They were all bouncing up and down, getting each other fired up for the game, elevating their intensity levels.

Then they showed our players waiting.

They were just standing there. Nobody was bouncing up and down outside of Bryant. I sensed a feeling of “uh oh”. I even turned to my girl and pointed out the difference between the two teams demeanor and I thought it was a bad sign.

Make of it what you will but it was definitely a dichotomy between teams.

That kinda bodes bad for the future, especially after the shellacking they endured.

Have the coaches already lost the locker room? How did it fall so far so quick.

Seems odd.

What do you suspect?

Locker room issues?

WTF, why would they not be on fire going into a divisional game @ home!?

Could be a bad sign... or could be the result of that being the last of a terrible run of 3 games in 11 days that were physically and morally demoralizing to the team that this mini-bye week will help fix.

It's also useful to point out, even if it doesn't fix our situation, that the Niners were about as close to playing for their season as they could be in Week 6. They lose that game, they are in a two-game hole having lost to the division leader, and 0-3 in the NFC West.

And, heck... Seahawks could have done all the pre-hype stuff in the locker room before they got to the tunnel. You never really know and it could hurt your brain to overanalyze that stuff.

Yeah, possibly. Still, it wasn’t a good look. Would have much preferred to see our boys getting each other fired up before running out onto the field.

From the stands, something seemed completely off with the timing of them coming out onto the field. They seemed late getting into the tunnel, and then came immediately out onto the field.

I think there was some mixup with the timing of the runout.

That may have contributed.

I blame it on the fact that they aren’t playing “Bittersweet Symphony” anymore. 😂

I didn't see that but these little things matter and shouldn't be disregarded. If our players aren't jacked to go out and play a prime time game, there's a problem somewhere in the program. Say what you will about Pete, but his teams ALWAYS had high energy for games. Someone made a comment recently comparing MM to Jim Mora, at least as far as energy and demeanor goes, and I think there's something there.
When Mike Holmgren took over back in 1999, he cleaned house and brought in players who bought in to what he was selling. It's still early, but I think Macdonald may need to do something similar. Either way, this year is looking to be alot more up and down than even I expected.

Because all the coaches and guys with "C" on their chest are all meek.
Do you guys happen to remember what Brian Billick and Marshall faulk said about us before our 2010 playoff game against the saints? Something to the effect of "Pete is gonna have his team fired up, and schemed up, but they will be dismantled." Now looking at this team today, also under a year one coach, does anything about them jump off the screen as "fired up" or "schemed up". Nobody in the locker room has bought it and it's clear.

Mike MacDonald seems like a disciplinarian type of coach. Can be good (look at Bill Belichick) so im not one to judge

well.. the 49ers were about to hit the field.. yes the intensity was there, meanwhile the Hawks were waiting and I doubt they would bounce up and down for 5 minutes waiting for the 9ers to hit the field and then a commercial break.

I don't think, or remember the tv crew panning in on them moments before they left the tunnel..

I just do remember being a long pause before the hawks hit the field.

The flipside to this is the Hawks could have had a 3 game lead in the Division after 6 games. +2 in wins and the tiebreaker against the '9ers. They could shown more hype in the tunnel with this in their grasp also.
