Thanks for volunteering to put this together. It can only help to give PFF it's own dedicated weekly thread. Hopefully it will help direct posts better and reduce the incidents of hijacking other threads.

Very thoughtful. Of course, there is now the expectation for a follow up week 16 PFF thread.

Again, thanks for volunteering! (y)(y) Two thumbs up!
No problem, as long as a few of you guys think it's worthwhile, I'll try to keep posting them.

Tomlinson at 38? So he’s an average starter if you assume two starting guards? PPF is crazy for that one lol. Jones at 41? @keasley45 this is why I call out PFF’s grade of Femo when it’s vastly different than every other advanced metric site. I need more than a PFF grade

But again props to river for doing this for us, it’s super cool to see
I know what PFF is and what it is not.
Pff is known to not be accurate at o line because it doesnt recognize positional assignments.

And, as always it is NOT a final grade or record of a players performance to be taken as an absolute in and of itself. It is an evaluation tool meant to serve as a guide. It measures performance based on certain inputs and is meant to work alongside film study.

I agree on his impact, but those things would still be true even if he did have a bad game against the Cards. I don't know enough for sure to say he didn't. We all remember the splash plays, so it's hard to reconcile the thought of him having that big INT and still say he played poorly overall. Maybe he did. I can't say I was really focused on him, and I'm not one of those guys who can watch a play and tell you what everyone on the field is doing. PFF is trying to isolate what they see on the field, so they'd probably see it as hurtful to their integrity to judge solo plays and games off reputation and be like "well, this wasn't good, but he has been great this year, and the team is really rallying around him, so let's bump his score up 20 points for today."
I did watch him quite a bit. His score doesn't compute. Nor does it compute when you compare it against what coaches say of his play. Or compare it against the average depth of tackle before he got here. Or to, say, Tyrel Dodson's score, which is two points higher on the season. Or to Jerome Baker, whose score is only seven points lower (he was a very, very bad run defender).

Speaking of PFF, they gave Dickson a punting grade of 84.0 last weekend. Not only did that rank first among punters, but the difference between Dickson and the punter who ranked second was larger than the difference between the punter who ranked 2nd and the punter who ranked 30th.

Yep. He dropped 4 of his 5 punts inside the 20 including one inside the 5.

After our special teams disaster against the Jets, PFF had our ST's ranked 18th. This week, they ranked us 14th, with Dickson's performance being the primary factor in that higher rating.

I was so happy to see all the kickoffs go through the endzone
