Will he want Geno?

Rebuilding down to the studs with a 73 year old coach is def one way to go I guess. But that division is STACKED when it comes to coaches.

  • Andy Reid: 3 Super Bowl Championships, 4 AFC Championships, and 1 NFC Championship
  • Pete Carroll - 1 Super Bowl Championship, 2 NFC Championship, and 1 NCAA National Championship
  • Sean Payton - 1 Super Bowl Championship and 1 NFC Championship
  • Jim Harbaugh: 1 NFC Championship and 1 NCAA National Championship
Sean Payton is the youngest coach in that division, one week younger than Harbaugh. He's 61.

It's the Metamucil Division.

I love it. I wish him the best!

Raiders are one of my guilty root for teams. AND it doesn't even affect us 1 little bit.

Glad he found a gig.

The hiring of Pete Carroll shows how poorly the relationship developed between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Pete has to get at least 3 seasons as the Raiders HC to right the ship. If they one and done him, I think that would ostracize Vegas as never being a serious team.

Pete had a history with Al Davis, probably knew Mark since he was a true carrot top and before the awful haircut, Pete really admired Al and his innovation and commitment to the run and then over the top plays along with a intimidating defense. Sound Familiar? Thats what got Pete hired along with his sneaky talent evaluation and motivation.

Pete is now on a team that was the model for what we had here, how many times did people say we looked like the Raiders of old. Al and Petes offensive philosophy was and is very close. He is now on a team that has ownership that is much less conservative than us, Raiders have always shot from the Hip, the new GM he is there to manage and evaluate, make no mistake Mark calls the shots just like Daddy did, Pete and him I am sure go way back since Pete knew Al well also, Pete will get what he wants and who he wants, just won't have the Management anchor on him.

Also you look at the coaches in that division, there is a potential for a brawl every game, it's is the division of nastiness, Chiefs have been a bit on the edge and are probably the most angelic of the bunch, bit Broncos, Raiders, are all teams that have always had the reputation of being nasty in their right, Harbaugh brings that push the limits and mentality of if you don't get caught you're not breaking a rule aspect.

PC getting a another coaching job is no surprise in itself, it's just the age thing. That's one youthful dude, starting another gig at 73. I hope he crushes it over there. It's going to be interesting to watch.

A division of intrigue, especially if Pete hires Wilson. Here we have the Carroll Harbaugh history, the Wilson Peyton history. if Pete reunited with Wilson and takes the division crown in year 1, this will be history.

lol it looks like Pittsburg wants him back.

I was just thinking about it though, it would be kind of cool if they did re-unite and just decided together to do what they did early on and prove everyone wrong. I would be rooting for both of them in that scenario for sure. Plus this board would go nuts lol
I agree with this, and I'd leave Me3 alone because I know it will be the end for both after
the Raiders era is over.
They fit each other best and the situation is perfect for both to be together.
However, if he signs with Pitt again, I'm going nonstop in here.

If they sign Russ...100 percent!
Actually, I have disagree because Bowers is a unicorn of a TE, Me3 loves throwing
to TE's now for quick dump offs or mid deep sideline routes, he never liked to before
Denver because he'd run all over here.
He's old now so he adapted to the quick screens and dump offs.

Greatest winner the NFL has ever seen hired a winner to install a winning culture.

The Raiders have more to rebuild than what can be seen on a printout of their roster. They have an entire organizational ethos to rebuild.

He has 3 years to try and compete with the Chiefs, Broncos, and Chargers as the coach of one of the most incompetent franchises in football. Good luck with that.

Also best way to pad his stats.

Lol, we'll see.
Yeah I think it's probably a long shot in Vegas so it will be interesting to see it play out. The only chance is to get a really good QB as a bridge or to build around like a Darnold.
