Ok, now this has reached the point of absurdity. And it’s not even acknowledging our outside linebackers.

Jones is a LOT better than 24th best and would be recognized as such were he only still playing for the Rams. But PFF is kind of right in that we are not deep at the position and our rookie on the other side was just a rookie who played for a small school. Kind of like the Woolen factor. Fast is fast and a sharp mind beats a dummy.
I have this insistent itch telling me Emmanwori is going to be a game changer at a lot of spots on the field, including bolstering the strength of our linebackers.

Yah...it seems fair if you're writing the article from the moon without any other background or information. Take Jones' productivity and MMac's experience and history of elevating the position, Knight's off-season to improve.... If the only thing you look at is the improvement in LB play over the last 2 seasons, the trajectory would have to predict above average play.

But, this will definitely be motivation to a position group that will have it front/center on the bulletin board. Coach will definitely be referring to this article all year....

Tyrice Knight is on my watch list.

Given that his 9 starts were delayed until the second half of his rookie year and he is coming off his first pro off season with the benefit of the same coaching and training staff, his development has my attention.

I’m nervous about our linebacker depth. I like Jones and Knight, but there’s a ton of uncertainty behind them on the depth chart.

On a positive note, I firmly believe that Tyrice Knight will soon make a name for himself and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s an All Pro this season. He just has that “it” factor out there. Great instincts, solid tackler. Jerhawk likes Tyrice Knight.

Ranked top 5 in every category after EJ acquisition. Knight also stepped up huge for a rookie. ESPN, FOX and many other analysts have us top 5-6 this year including Mina Kimes and Cowherd to name a few

It’s like there’s two kinds of outside linebackers these days. Guys like Mafe and I guess Hall that seem to need to be around the line of scrimmage, but then you need outside linebackers like KJ Wright that can almost play like a safety. I don’t see hall or Mafe being capable of playing coverage.
