Penix.

A few years back Budda Baker as Earl Thomas replacement rather than waste tons of draft capital on Jamal Adams
I honestly think they tried to trade up to get him. I get flamed for that opinion, but it's just that, an opinion.
I'm stoked we have Murphy, but I would have loved that pick. I watched every snap he took at UW and he's the real deal. And before the crap o line, nobody can play behind that line responses, he has a VERY quick release.
Not trying to start an argument, just my thoughts on Penix in Seattle.

Passing on TJ Watt for Malik McDowell still hurts to this day. That 2017 Seahawk draft class (other than Carson) was straight ass.
If we play this game, and keep the 2017 Draft Class position, than Seattle draft could looked like this;

35 - Budda Baker, S (Seattle took McDowell, Budda went a pick later)
58 - Taylor Moton, G (Seattle took Pocic, Moton was taken at Pick 64)
90 - Cameron Sutton, DB (Seattle took Shaq Griffin, Sutton was taken Pick 94)
95 - Trey Hendrickson, OLB/DE (Seattle took Lano Hill, Hendrickson was taken Pick 103)
102 - James Conner, RB (Seattle took Nazir Jones, Conner was taken Pick 105)
106 - Rayshawn Jenkins, S (Seattle took Amara Darboh, Jenkins was taken Pick 113)
111 - George ******* Kittle, TE (Seattle took Tedric Thompson, Kittle was taken Pick 146)
187 - DJ Jones, DT (Seattle took Michael Tyson, Jones was taken Pick 198)
210 - Noah Brown, WR (Seattle took Jusin Senior, Brown was taken Pick 239)
226 - David Moore, WR (Seattle's pick)
249 - Chris Carson, RB (Seattle's pick)

These players were available for these picks and most of them positions of need, or Seattle drafted those positions anyhow. Most of these players are still playing and contribute in someway.

Obviously re-doing any draft to get the dream draft/player is a fantasy, but it's funny how it was probable that Seattle could drafted all these guys in one draft.

TJ Watt for sure. We could’ve drafted him but traded down to get McDowell. The 2017 draft had a lot of talent that we passed up, including all-pro talent.

Buddah Baker is another one we passed up that was also a need.

Tre’Davious White, yet another all pro went a pick after our original pick.

Ryan Ramczyk went around our pick as well, yet an other all pro.
It makes me sad thinking about the talent that was in this draft that Seattle didn’t recognize….

Wish we got Carter instead of Witherspoon. I think it was a boneheaded move not selecting him, but everyone on here was concerned about character. I get it. But I am more concerned we missed a star.
Nah, we made a great choice, they made a great choice. Both can exist, imo.

wow.. out of everybody available.. His low and slow snaps always bothered me.. you know, like SNAP the ball and Russ was short enough :)
It was the beginning of the end for Seattle’s offensive line. We traded away serious offensive line talent for a player that was useless in our system. It’s not so much the player himself, as it is all that went along with losing him.

He's good, but he isn't "ignore massive character red flags and laziness concerns with a top 5 overall pick" good.

We took a gamble on a similar talent at the position who didn't have as bad of a track record as Jalen did coming into the league. I don't think anyone wanted to repeat that mistake.

Bring Solari too.

My god. K9 and Charbonnet together in their rushing attack with a clean-cut blocking scheme...

The paradise that could be.
Yessir.

I'd trade Grubb for Schotty all day. At least you could be certain that the offense wouldnt kill itself.

And like you said, the two of them would absolutley put together a solid, balanced attack where the o-line isnt left to swing in the wind like clothes on the line.

Y'all are way off the mark.

This is the one guy that could turn it all around.
