Yeah, what pissed me off most about that last pick is that is exactly the type of play I want to see more out of Grubb and they basically let the Rams get a free turnover on it.

That was the type of anticipatory type throw that we were so good at the last half of last season that we've seen way too little of in this new offense and if the defense doesn't get away with an obvious holding call, that could easily have been a TD. (I mean, ideally that's DK Metcalf running that play, not AJ Barner, and DK probably wouldn't have sold the fact that he'd been held a little better.)

Ya the refs threw all those picks. Couldn't possibly have anything to do with that turnstile of an O-line. Get real. Until you replace the career backup QB and spend some money on a O-line things won't change.

I don't fault Geno at all there. That's the type of throw I want him to be making. He isn't supposed to wait to see his guy open because if he does the ball is going to be late.

We just got screwed and as you said, he got pretty well turned around, so honestly, I have no idea why the refs missed it other than the generic 'refs suck'.

I don't think I have EVER seen a defensive lineman called for defensive holding while engaged with a blocker. Barner was supposed to block and disengage, and failed to do so. I don't think that was bad officiating on that particular play.

Yeah, I recall 3 bad calls (even though we benefitted from some of these bad calls it dilutes the game:

1. Nacua penalty and ejection. Not even a punch, IMO.

2. The defensive PI call against the Rams.

3. The roughing the passer call against Hall.

What really gets me is these little ticky tack calls like facemask penalties where the guy barely grabs the guy. This is a physical sport, and they are taking that out of it. If it is borderline, then let it slide. These refs are like traffic cops on the last day of the month just looking to give someone a ticket for 5 miles over the limit.

Extremely one sided. Shoot, my Rams friend even said they got the bulk of the calls when it mattered. Didn't see that coming
