I thought the dude ran great today. Good vision. Nice quickness. Power to boot. To put up 5+ ypc in his first action against a solid defense was outstanding.

He gave us a really nice 1-2.

There were a few times where i had to wait to see the jersey number to know who carried the ball and thats high praise considering how well Charbs did.

That was fun to see. This team has 3 good backs. Not sorry
And really, all 3 of them are different. All 3 are good at certain things and can improve on other things. If that makes any sense.

He wasn't the feature back, so he doesn't get all the praise, but he did well in his role.

The O-line was making the holes, and he was hitting them. I did not see a lot of dancing in the backfield by either back today. That was nice. But again, it looked like the line were creating some run lanes, even if for a brief second. Good job KMac
Charbs stopped a couple times. And when he did he got stopped

A lot of film guys liked him a lot coming out. I don't think he tested all that great but man he sure looked the part in limited action yesterday. I'm excited about his potential.

I've been pounding the table for this guy to get more carries. With the way Charbs was running yesterday, it's hard to say KMac should have gotten more. I'm just glad he got a chance and didn't disappoint.

Frankly, over the last month or so nobody got "enough" carries. With the O-line failing to open holes, we were abandoning the run game early in games. Hopefully that is all behind us now.

As much as I appreciate K9's freakish athleticism, it also factors heavily into his weaknesses. At 4:05 the vid posted below (stole it from the Laumea thread), a gaping hole opened on the right side and K9 does freakish sharp lateral cut to the right and then goes through the hole...but had he taken a better angle and not such a drastic cut, he likely gets past the defender on JSN and then can use that freakish stuff in the open field.

I like how KMac is efficient and decisive through the holes and Charbs showed some of that too. Neither have the eye-candy that K9 does, but that's ok in some instances.

Oh yea...BTW, this is not a dump on K9. We can be critical and still apprecaite the players and coaches. So many think it's all or nothing.
