In celebration of our imminent lot sale, I decided to treat myself to an early birthday gift. I sold my Speed authentic Seahawks helmet early in the year and although I have a sweet authentic throwback SpeedFlex helmet I proudly display on gameday, even my girl mentioned the other day she missed the current era helmet. So I've been on the hunt on eBay looking for the perfect helmet. A lot of them are out there but none with the Oakley face shield the players wear.

I somehow just a few minutes ago found the EXACT helmet I was looking for!

  • Seattle Seahawks Riddell SpeedFlex Helmet
  • SF-2EG-II Facemask - Navy
  • Oakley Legacy Visor - Prizm Jade
  • Unbranded Visor Clips - Navy
  • Riddell SpeedFlex Hard Cup Cam-Loc Chinstrap - White
  • Chrome US Flag Decal
  • Chrome NFL Shield Decal
  • Warning Label Decal - White
  • Seattle Seahawks 3D Bumpers - Front & Back
It cost me a pretty penny that's for sure, but it is gonna look sweet next to my throwback helmet on Gameday and I have no plans to sell it for many years, if ever. If you ever want the most realistic authentic helmet you can find, I highly recommend Green Gridiron. They custom make all the helmets to be as accurate as what the players are wearing on the field right now.

Got her the other day. As advertised. A beauty. Can’t wait to display her with my throwback tomorrow night!

Seriously though, I have always loved every aspect of these helmets. The glossy middle with the "feather" pattern combined with the matte finish on the sides, and on your particular helmet, the way that color reflects on the visor. Like you said, it's a beauty.

It’s a stupid expense. It’s embarrassing how much I paid for this helmet but I am such a helmetphile. I want the best of the best. The most realistic helmet I can get and this is it.

My girl said this better stay with me for the rest of my life and I agree.

Wow I did not know this was a thing...thanks for putting that priced item on my wishlist. Now the question is...to leave as-is...or get signed by Kam? I feel like a helmet that looks like that could only be signed by Bam Bam. Although just googled and he wore a different style helmet, so maybe not.

Years ago I had signed helmets. Now I prefer them mean and clean. Just a preference of course. Now I wouldn't turn down a helmet with all the OG LOB of course.

There is something to be said for having a helmet like that being "mean and clean" as you wrote. It's timeless...and you never gotta worry about if a player gets caught up in some BS and you start looking at that thing a little differently.
