Odd that you would read it that way, but cool. Pete put out one of these every season, as did some of the players. Big meh burger.
Not trying to argue but talk about making a huge deal out of nothing. Don't wanna' go to the games, just don't go, it's that simple.
I'm not happy about another price jump, but to be pissed at the coach for THIS? Strange......
It's not his job to coddle pissed off fans. This fanbase has taken grumpy af to another level :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I think people are being too negative. We had a great season even if we missed the playoffs with a rookie coaching staff. Don’t dissect every word and just enjoy the ride. If you can, go out and take in a great game. If not, support how you can and choose.

Go hawks

PS-> "And 'sorry' about the whole Grubb thing. That was ****** up and although it should never have happened, I could have managed the situation 10X better by actually making a subordinate do his job properly. But hey!!! - we've got a new OC now so that's just super, and **** the dead guy!".

Just sayin' :)

Legit question, are fans really this sensitive, to the level that they are somehow feeling lectured or slighted? I realize people love drama, but my god, you'd think Coach Mike said F the fans. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: 🍺✌️

Again, I'm waiting to see proof that teams will take away someone's season tickets if they don't attend all the games.

Yeah, seemed like a pretty positive message. People reading their own frustrations into it seems like to me.
For the record, I thought the message was positive and thoughtful as well.

My interpretation of it was very tongue-in-cheek, though the few season ticket holders I know (I haven't lived in the area for quite a while, so the list keeps shrinking) do think of their tickets more like a way to make a quick buck during the season and rarely ever plan to go to the games themselves.

I thought personally it was a bit word salad-ey.....

Just kinda of a generic "We're getting there" kinda thing.....

Nothing really 'wrong' with it....

I believe the Seahawks have cancelled tickets for those who they can show keep them just to sell all the games and never show up. I don't have a link to show that, but I'm pretty sure all teams have some means of monitoring who never goes to games.

The real issue is this ---- if you have 9 games and you go to 6 and you sell 3. Chances are 2 of those 3 are going to be visiting fans. That's a big percentage of the crowd, especially if you are more likely to sell those games that are in high demand (Packers! 49ers! Cowboys!).

It's just the reality of the economics of the sport. It isn't going to change and I believe it's just going to get worse. Home field advantage does and will mean less and less each year. No amount of head coach pep talk will change that.

Same. I went to the GB game and loved being there but so much more freedom and peace of mind at home in my recliner
And that's your choice. But it doesn't mean that those of us who go to the games are not enjoying the game just as much. I don't miss games, I don't see to opposing fans. Never have, never will. If I sit in a different section, I'll sell my seats to friends who are die hard Hawks fans.
That all being said, the prices are ridiculous and just keep rising. And road games from my chair at home, very nice.

Higher ticket prices combined with ticket brokers snapping up tickets is a big part of the problem. Also, winning teams always have more fans in the seats.
