My expectations for his contributions are pretty low, dude will be rusty as all hell and will need to build confidence in that knee functioning as it should. Until then, I reckon we'll see a lot of the same scummy OL play until the wrinkles are ironed out.

I'd still draft a player to hedge my bets in the off-season that he's not going to be the same player. Lord, I hope I'm SO wrong on that [lol].

ETA* The man himself said his knee is not chronic and was just thrashed, but is solid now. That's all I need to hear. LFG.

Corbin Smith yesterday it looks like if Lucas gets activated (which he did) then he is expected to play against the 49ers. I fully expect to see him out there against Bosa. I expect him to be a little rusty against one of the top 3 DE's
Good, I hope he resorts to some cheap shots on Bosa. He'll get a standing ovation from my living room.

I have extremely tempered expectations for Lucas. We have no idea how systemic his knee injury is. I've heard nothing about it.

Our HC mentioned it in one of his pressers, but he also said that coaches decided not to.
Another sign they see this as a long game. Hoping Conner gets back to very good. (Jury is still out).

No doubt. This team had NO business losing to the Giants or the Clams.
Or the Giant Clams. Even average O Line play and they are sitting at 6-3. Sigh.....
Yes, that's the thing, if the Seahawks are 6-3 a lot of the Schneider criticism and harsh criticism of Geno and Grubb aren't occurring. Giants game was a colossal Special Teams failure, Rams game, a 10-14 point swing on one play because Geno's arm gets hit on the 199 yard pick-six because the O-Line is schitt and Grubb/Geno doesn't have/use a checkdown. Yes there are holes. Yes the Giants home loss was an indictment of the coaching staff and players being unprepared. It also shows this team is a few incremental improvements away from being a pretender* playoff team. EJ IV, Lucas, the team "getting MacD's defense, DK's return, Grubb adjusting to NFL, finding a run game somehow, enough of those plus a good draft, and the Seahawks could actually be a contender next season.

* Pete Carroll "pretender" playoff team, 9-8, Wildcard blowout road loss

I speculate that Pete Carroll, desperate for wins to save his job, might have rushed Lucas back just a bit too early. Based on his performance after he came back, he played like a different player from his rookie year. With that, I appreciate our young Macdonald didn't rush Lucas back, and allowed his recovery and rehab to take its time.

i agree. i think they really slow played abe this time. if it works great. if it doesn't then it's time to move on (I hope it works)

Why not move Olu to Center and move Connor over to Guard?
Because he’s a darker version of Joey Hunt. No….Joey Hunt was actually better come to think of it. And that’s with getting bum rushed and rolled over 3 times after hiking it. I think we whiffed on Olu big time

Hopefully this activation is that he's ready to play now and not they hope he can play week 15... We could really use him in this game vs the whiners, either way it's good to see him taking steps to get back on the field..

The sixty niners pass rush will focus on him and how weak he is and exploit his inexperience and weaknesses. Undersized and slow of foot but hopefully he can last one game before we find a better replacement

It was a simple question. Olu hasn't exactly had a ton of chances. Again, it was a simple question.
I know I was pointing out how disappointing the coaching staff is regarding how he hasn’t panned out as a center at this level. I mean he’s got a chance to prove his mettle but I have my doubts. Kind of embarrassing that we can’t seem to find a serviceable center.
