I bet this team falls apart. They just don’t have any talent. We just act like they do when they play teams with awful QB’s. You’ll see. In 6 weeks you’ll see what we saw tonight.

I honestly think MM is going to cut a ton of players next year. And possibly John will be released.

We know how NY judges its teams. Doesn't fly in the real world.

Back in Seattle.
I'm guessing the naysayers are wanting to compare him with MHJ & Nabers this year which is unfair. Those rookies are the only show in town, which is why their numbers are top 10.

He's on track for like 900 yards and 0 touchdowns on the year. That's not good production out of a 20th overall pick WR in his second year. It's obviously too soon to call him a bust, but in my opinion he's underperforming.

He's the third option in the WR Room and fourth option on offense, he's doing fine

My personal observation, but that guy, just doesn't seem to get open very much.. anyone else see that?

You're actually not totally wrong. He's markedly worse this year at generating separation according to charting, but that's... noisy.

JSN was one of the best at this last year by the same charting.

We're not really generating more separation this year, shockingly. But the route tree is so much more diverse than it was that I don't really think that separation is the best thing to gauge here. Tons of productive, great receivers in the middle of this chart.

Sweet Jesus, this f'ing place sometimes.
I'm literally embarrassed right now at how dumb some Hawks fans can be. If this isn't sarcasm, it's shocking how clueless some people are.

I said what I said.
I haven't always been the nicest guy here when it comes to arguing my viewpoint, but this was just downright rude.

If I want to call somebody dumb, I do them the courtesy of backing it up with supporting points. More than a few times, I looked up information that I suspected would allow me to call someone clueless, I proved myself wrong with the data and realized I was the idiot.

We should earn the right to call someone clueless by at least putting in the effort to prove that they're clueless - but there's some data here that supports his eyetest. What that means? Totally up for debate.

In fairness it's harder to separate when you are actually going downfield vs running so many routes behind the los (maybe a big of anti-waldron sarcasm on my part)

Perhaps it's just frustration, I was ecstatic that we drafted him and when I watch the Hawks on TV, I pull of for the guy and specifically zone in on him when I can. But, dang, Geno just like overlooks him or always seems to have better options.. Yeah, I know.. he was targeted 8 time, I'd say more than several were off of Geno scrambling making something out of nothing though. If anyone has it recorded, watch him through out the game.

Sorry nitpicking here, but he had 12 targets last game with 8 receptions. I understand the frustration, he hasn't had any of the big splashy plays one would hope for like DK or K9 have had.

That's kind of what my hypothesis was (lots of screens generating artificial "separation" in 2023) but I think PFF's grading solves for that. Not totally sure.

Either way, I don't think the lack of separation is a caliber issue so much as a fact of his usage, and getting big separation is probably more a function of scheme than receiving talent.

He seems to me to have become the clutch 3rd down receiver for Geno; I was very impressed with his game vs the Dolphins when he seemed constantly open. What is missing is the eye catching big splash plays but he isn’t going to be running those route concepts; a lot more behind the LOS work and intermediate routes
