Why does he continue to play so much? At this point, he is really nothing more than a name and a history of what he’s done before.

He’s got like two hits this month, outside of that small stretch before the break, he’s done squat this season.

He helps us no where. Can’t field. Can’t hit. Can’t even hit for power. Yes he walks, but that’s about it.

It’s mid September, we need to play the best guys.

Seems like Servais is being WAY too loyal, yet again. I love the guy, but he's not nearly the player that Haggerty is for this team, period. The guy sucks as an outfielder and isn't hitting for sh**.

Unfortunately he's still one of the 9 best guys for the lineup when guys like Haniger keep getting hurt and can't play. It's a sign of just how thin and fragile our lineup really is. Until today he was leading the team in OBP (Julio just took that over by 1 point after another great day). If Trammell was hitting better Winker would sit more, but Trammell has been lost since coming back up recently.

Winker has not been good this season hitting, but his high OBP and grinding AB's do help the lineup by not killing rallies via striking out and by helping to work on pitch counts. There's been more than a few games that were won because they were able to get the starting pitcher out of there and win it late off teams bullpens...

Yes Rag arm, yes crappy defense. Kelenic is worse with the bat currently but runs circles around Winker defensively and base running.

Unfortunately with Mitch out, their isn’t a better option.

He just isn’t good. For all those that say he walks a lot, okay. He is slow, so unless someone is hitting a HR with him on base or we are getting consecutive hits, his walks are empty.

He has like no power, lower slugging percentage than Crawford, a guy who went like three months without a HR. Once Haniger is healthy I want Haggerty out there as much as possible. As awful as TT is, don’t think the drop off is that much.

It’s starting to happen. Third game in a row with no Winker in the lineup. He is hitting under .150 in the month of September. The guy is completely useless. He should not play in the field anymore. With Santana having a hot bat, hard to see him getting much playing time.

Winker is Beltre Part 2, but actually worse. More like Jeff Cirillo bad. They need to cut bait with this bum ASAP & find an actual Major League baseball player. Good grief, they can never bring in anybody to hit.
